When I buy Ice, I look at yardage to judge what size it is. For instance, if it's 100 grams and 341 yards, it's NOT a 4 weight, 😂

I just bought the camel yarn in a hunter green. I only bought 2 bags. The shipping was only $15. My yarn was $19, so I paid less than $2 a ball. I buy by the project, shipping is not expensive that way.

Don’t be embarrassed. It’s incredibly help for the less experienced folk (me) to understand the way different manufacturers work. I love the variegated in soft tones and the heavy variegated acrylic that reminds me of Wool-ease spice. Gorgeous!

And some of that goes to those of us who cannot afford to buy a lot of yarn. You have a successful KZfaq channel and you are one of the kindest and sweetest people I know. You should never be embarrassed about the amount you spend or the amount of yarn you purchase, and you're allowed to keep as much as you want, even if you won't get to using it for a few years. You have earned it and you deserve it, and I love seeing you happy and excited. It's very considerate of you to tell everyone how much it was, because now they can see how great Ice Yarns really is! I saw someone post about how the shipping was almost $100 for Ice Yarns, and that they'd never buy from them if the shipping was going to be that high, and so many people agreed (and some were pretty nasty about it). I felt the same way, until I watched your videos on Ice Yarns. I absolutely LOVE Ice Yarns and do not regret buying from them one bit, and I'll do it again, as soon as I am able. :p I can't buy more yarn for awhile, but I have plenty to hold me over until I can. :D Honestly, I could probably go two more years without buying yarn and not run out of projects. I work for a large company and we ship a lot. Those LTL company's give a huge corporate discounts for volume shipping. You could be paying close to what they are actually getting charged for the shipment. I have not bought from Ice Yarns yet, it is on my wish list at some point I will break down and get some :).

I can help but stop and say watching you has inspired me to pick up my crochet hook and start a new blanket. I live in Florida and it rarely gets cold more than a total of 4-6 weeks combined but the holidays just make me remember making my kids 2 when they were babies and 2 when they were teenagers to match their personalities. Now I have 2 grand-teenagers and ready to rock and roll again ❤☮

Thanks for clarifying about the shipping charges for Ice yarn. Their website was kind of confusing, and I didn't want to make a "fake" order in order to test our how much the shipping would cost me. When you break it down, their yarn is very affordable, and they have such a huge selection!

I just made my first online order and bought from Ice Yarns because of seeing the Picasso rainbow your in your videos. I did what you did and averaged out the yarn cost and shipping and I also paid $2.50 a ball! You can't beat that price even in the big box stores. I can't wait until it arrives. Now I purchased the cake yarns, the Picasso rainbow, some other sale yarn and cones of discontinued metallic thread that I can add to any yarn to make it shiny. I love the Alara Batik and the Cakes Jazz White and Gold that you showed. They are so pretty and there are so many possibilities on what you can make with them.
