A new bill being debated in Springfield would restrict the criteria for police officers in Illinois to make legal traffic stops, NBC Chicago’s Charlie Wojciechowski reports.

It's amazing how a man of his demographic is putting forward a law, to give a pass for the crimes, that HIS demographic mostly seems to do anyway.

Well there ya go- when the law is arresting too many people of a certain race- then the law must be the Problem??? Maybe we should use that logic on terrorism???? and focus most of our resources on investigating Norwegian grandmothers as our terror suspects??? I saw the film a Clockwork Orange in the 1970s- never thought I would see the day- when it came home to roost in the USA

This bill will take a load off police hands. Chasing someone who going 10 mph over the speed limit frustates police and endangers the public. The police can then focus on real crime.🤔

Seems this is more about pretextual stops to ignore the 4th amendment.

@@icecold9511 pretextual stops are 100% legal and constitutional because probable cause is still being articulated. All an officer needs to stop a car is reasonable suspicion anyway.

@@Gwmcmi02 It is dishonesty and tells me everything I need to know about the value of a cop's word. Cops have zero integrity. And laws like this are a direct result of their attitude regarding the constitution.

Failing to display license plate means you can take the plate off and can't get pulled over. All your Amber alerts will be futile.
