Literally just replace my OG osmo pump from tunze and was surprised how cheap it was too....no complaints...my tunze was 10 plus years old

idk. Burned through a number of the old pumps. You CAN fix them by slowly heating the bottom with a heat gun and then prying out the blue cap. Seems to me that an easy fix for all of this would be a simple logic fix in the software. If pump runs for longer than 30sec turn off. Wait 5min. Run 30sec. If happens more than 5 times in a row sound the alarm and don't turn on the pump again until reset.

See an issue, the original sucked water in from the bottom of the pump so you pretty much used your entire volume of your ATO container and with out cavitation. This things going to suck air in from the side when I still have 1gal of water left in my bin. Can this pump be place in an upright position? Or a downward inlet tube to draw water from the bottom?

Surely when it gets that low you’d be topping up the water anyway right?

It's not good for the pump to be run dry, never let your reservoir empty completely, always leave an inch or two to stop pump dry running. That's what killed 90% of the old pumps.

Will the new pump be compatible with my current controller? Could I replace just the pump or do I need to buy the whole new package?

The pump will work with existing osmolator controllers.

Will the new ATO brain still purge for a few seconds if it loses power? Living in Florida I hated it in my nano during summer because we would have electrical flicker and the pump would cut on a few times during a bad storm adding too much ro water to the return chamber.
