This was actually a pretty funny and feel-good movie.

This is the underrated movie that has become a Christmas favorite.

I have to say that I really liked this movie. It had some really funny moments which were not over the top silliness. 4 stars out of 5

This a movie like urban cow boy, an officer and a gentleman, the titanic, ferris beuler, breakfast club, any stupid 80s 90s Adam Sandler comedy; never tire of them, ever. Her and that singer from New Orleans had chemistry in this movie. I love her acting no matter what, she's the best

That old cow is in the road at 1:21. That cow is involved in other movie plots. The cow is standing in the middle of the road, when someone is in a hurry to drive through or drive out of a town, which they do not want to be in. That cow always causes a car accident and that forces the person driving, to stay in that town. And thanks to that old cow, that driver grows into a better person... This is true in a number of movies (aside from this movie, "Doc Hollywood", "Seven Days In Utopia" are among others). Just imagine if it was the same cow in these movies. Maybe it would be an interesting movie to make, about one cow that does this all the time and then somehow connect the stories of personal growth together. Maybe not.

For a while I am trying to find out the credits of one song which appeared in the movie - after Lucy found out that she had been hoodwinked by the employees (the fake holiday) she left the restaurant and there is a scene where she is parking her car next to the bar where she finds those workers... I am desperately searching for the song playing there but no success until now.... Anyone could help me with this please??

You would think no black people live there... the movie has zero black people. But watching the news from Australia, you see all the insanity happening on the streets right now in 2020 and you can’t help but wonder... how long have black people living in Minnesota...in America...been feeling unseen? If I’m so sick and depressed from watching the injustices that happen in America that I’m sitting here trying to find a feel-good movie to try rid myself of this sick feeling... how much more difficult it must be for black Americans right now?

oh this was so bad

I found the caricatures and cliches of Minnesotans to be highly insulting and I turned it off right after the lady asked Rene if she found Jesus yet. Rene Zellweger's reply was really insulting. There are all kinds of people living in Minnesota. This movie from the over done accents to the outdated indoor decorating and just all of it was such a turn off. Minnesota is a very progressive State, even for conservatives. I don't think having good values should be made fun of. And they do things in style. Some of the nicest people who helped me so much live there. They are SO Smart! This movie just isn't up to snuff. Not for me.
