The whole argument that Suzuki cannot get you to the cup alone, well, no shit Sherlock, McJesus needed help to get there and The Great One couldn't do it in the second half of his career. You can win a cup with Nick as 1C, but you need a roster that is constructed with dept.

Saying roope hintz is ”right there” with 65p in 80 games as a 1A center and calling suzuki No more than a 1B with 77p in 82games is lunacy, since when is it easier to rack up points with worse players beside him😂

@vdac1068
@vdac1068 7 күн бұрын
When I see him play I see a Bergeron style game, smaller Barkov vibes, excellent 2way, good passer and a sneaky good release. Great distributor, he’s often the puck carrier on the PP rush I don’t see many right shot guys on the right side walk in and snap em in like he does whether on the rush or on the PP set up. This year he was also snipping one timers from the goal line on the left side “mirror of the Draisaitl one timer” hope he keeps it up. I hope people keep sleeping on Suzuki, especially his opponents on the ice.

Lindstrom is no Byfield and he has back issues. Not with a 10 foot pole given this teams injury issues. Take BPA as drafting for need has been an unmitigated disaster for the franchise including 2018. Jury is out on 2023, but definitely not the bpa.

Yes Nick Suzuki is a legit #1 center. Why ? Because he hasn't reached his full potential yet. 77 pts on a very average team this year, playing with a 19 year old, and Caufield who had a pretty average season offensively. He's also the captain of the Habs, and despite being 5'11" he weights around 210 pounds. Its not a small guy. And Nick's hockey IQ is elite with slick hands. Not the fastest guy, but his skating is very efficient. Last couple years, it was a debate, if he was a true no1 center or not, but after this season, its clear he's a no1 center. I think Suzuki will be a comparable to Barkov. Barkov is 4-5 years older.

Elite is a subjective term. Debating semantics is trivial. Let's stick to more easily defined opinions. I contend that he's already one of the top 16 centers in the NHL. Doesn't that make him a clear cut #1C? This is what most Habs' fans took issue with here. At 24, there's still room for growth as well. He's impactful at both ends of the ice and has done all of this with very little support around him, especially at center. Let's revisit this debate in a year or two. I don't think your opinion will age well.

1B?? Dude when are people going to stop underrating Nick Suzuki. Some Centres are elite in other ways than getting points. It is a reality. Bergeron, Kopitar. What were their max point totals? 90 I think Kopitar had one time and that was the highest. Are they not top centres in the league in their careers? Cause I think most teams would put them in the top 5 of players they want centering their top lines. This Ryan guy sounds like a hack to me.

Guess what, the habs picked a d-man last year and this year they need to pick a forward. Why are the habs recruiters such loosers.. Imagine if we already had Mitchkov or Benson or Leonard in the back pocket and we would be just shopping for the best player available? The goof of having picked Reinbacker last year will haunt the CH franchise for the next 15 years. After the rebuild, when we will be a meer middle of the pack team and will wonder what went wrong, well, last year's draft will be the common answer.
