Your question statin you're not asking about race, about the felon side of it... I give you this answer, and we've both been locked up, you just look at shit sideways young man. It's not race, it's not felon, it's men shouldn't be asking what men do in what prison at all. It's weak men who ask this and pretend like things how they are, is things like they are. Real men know they make their own environment, they make their own prison or jail time regardless of if there's 1 guy who "runs" the place or a gang of 30. A real man can stand stronger than all 30 combined, and even though you may be fine in jail or prison, you're not made of that cloth.....that knows one single man can make that whole place the way he wants it. Only weak men talk about how it is and the rules you need to abide by. You're not on that level.

@mrcontroversy222 well, those are strong words that carry a different connotation than you're probably implying. However, lack of material support aside, my immediate family are not what you'd call righteous people. The bizarre thing with the felony case was they pledged full material support when I was previously in trouble with misdemeanors few times against my advice and then chose to cut all ties upon a felony conviction when the support was actually needed. I suppose them being know-its-alls prevented them from listening to my advice.

@@yourpandaprince9962 well for one - if you arent trying to argue in bad faith - i'd recommend the book "Three Felonies a Day" by Harvey Silverglate, a professor at Harvard University that has done extensive research into this particular phenomenon. second - considering this is the internet where asking for sources on something so simple to verify is readily available i'd perhaps suggest choosing your favorite search engine and typing "3 felonies a day" and see what comes up. i think that's a good start if this is something that your are interested in researching yourself. since you are asking for sources certainly you must be interested right?

@@alexanderredhorse1297 obviously, otherwise I wouldn't have asked. First, thanks for the recommendation on the read. Second: when you throw "facts" out there it should be expected people are going to ask you where you're reading this. If it's something seen on FB that one time then it needs exposed so we can stop sharing garbage that hasn't been checked. Obviously google would return tons of results. But what from those results are you looking at? 3 sources can give 4 conclusions. Since you pointed out your source is a book, makes it easier to narrow down the million results returned by that big ole Internet.

Unfortunately I have a similar story, except I had PTO (paid time off) built up because I told the judge I didn’t want to lose my job And if they gave me 30 days I’d have enough time that I could keep my job after doing my little time, the prosecution and judge granted me 45 days which was amazing and let me out on a OR then id have 45 days to get everything handled before I did my 60days for my Violation, I had Been saving my PTO for a vacation so I was salty I had to use it for jail, but thankful the judge let me have 45 days so I could get everything handled before doing my 2 months and I kept my job once I got out. I did my little 2 months back in 2018 and been on the straight An narrow every since.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes but the difference was i wasn't trying to keep no damn "keepsake". lol. @Josh Traffanstedt there's no rules in a street fight or prison fight. You're fighting for your life. Who gives a fuck if they hit the ground or not. You punch them until you physically can't anymore. You're fighting to survive in there.
@JohnSmith-dr9wv
@JohnSmith-dr9wv Жыл бұрын
@Josh Traffanstedt never been. But I can get on board with rules and regulations Yada Yada Yada. That's cool... but if someone tries to fight me in the street or in the pen: its a wrap. I'm not gonna fight. I'm not gonna let them get back up. I would shank them right in the eye. It's survival in there, just like out here. If someone assaulted me on the street, I'd respond the same way. You don't know what's going through their head. You don't know how far someone is gonna take it. So it's better to assume they're trying to kill you, plan for worst case scenario. You're gonna feel really fucking stupid when you walk around with that in mind, thinking everyone else is on the same page, you try someone thinking it's all cool and honorable: then you get killed. What you gonna when you fight someone, let them get up, and they stand up with a shank? Let me guess... weapons aren't allowed. It's fucking prison, not the boyscouts.

Racial politics of West Coast jails were a new ballgame for me. George Bailey in San Diego. They could tell I was green and not gang affiliated, so they worked with me. I was too embarrassed to tell my parents, so I didn't even call anyone for the first two months. No bail, no commissary, nada.

Most are not gang affiliated at the Thunderdome, but your race will accept you when you get there. U break a rule and u do get sent to the pocket for a certain amount of seconds. When I got to Bailey I was beyond sick off drugs and I broke every rule, then I blacked out in my bed and woke up a day later handcuffed to a hospital bed in San Marcos. Smh. I was nervous and embarrassed to go back to Bailey a week later after I recovered, but I eventually got my mind right and strength back and was dishing out punishments. Crazy time

And for the one's who don't know what reception diagnostic center is. Its were you go after you've been sentenced to get classified to see what prison you will be sent to in Indiana. Worst prisons in Indiana is Michigan city which is behind a 100 foot wall. Westville correctional facility and Pendleton correctional facility. Then you have Putnamville correctional facility branchville correctional facility wabash valley correctional facility which has the SHU which stands for secured housing unit locked down 23/1 then you have Newcastle prison and Miami correctional facility which any prison can have its moments it's just on how you handle yourself and what you make of it. Did they atleast give you some Tramadol or Methadone? Like withdrawal is more effective and a lot more bearable if you are slowly being reduced towards being clean. However completely useless if there is no therapy attached to the treatment and if there is no help to build up life skills, find a job and have real relationships.. you know stuff that gives meaning and helps you handle life without H.

what you said at 9:46 about "throwing up whatever just to find out you're outnumbered" made me think of something I haven't thought of in years. When I was in DYS in Ohio when I was 17 almost 20 years ago now (department of youth services) basically Ohio's version of Juvi prison, 13-21 year old's, Basically. In any sense, in DYS, at least back then, clicks weren't decided by gang affiliation, they were determined by what city you're from / the AREA CODE you were from, Cincinnati people stay with Cincy people, Cleveland people with Cleveland people, I stayed with everyone from Toledo cause that's where I was from. In any sense, me and this other younger kid, maybe 14-15, we went from Reception to Marion together, Marion was where the worst offenders were supposed to go, repeats, violent crimes, etc, I was a repeat offender so I went, don't know what he was in for, In any sense, we went from reception to our home facility in Marion, we both ended up in the same unit together too, basically, he was from Columbus, he knew the rules because at the intake / reception center, some of the repeat visitors broke it all down for the first timers such as myself and him (i was a repeat but it was my first time in DYS, so this kid KNEW, run with your city and your race (yes even juvi was race oriented) in any sense, to get to the point, we ended up in the facility, ended up on the same unit 5-Charlie, our FIRST NIGHT IN THIS UNIT.... this dumb fuck is walking around the unit, "FUCK CLEVELAND!,FUCK CINCINATI!, FUCK TOLEDO!, someone walked up to him and said somethin to him quietly and the young kid started laughing and was like "NAH, FUCK THAT, I aint scared of no one, If you aint from Columbus, FUCK YOU!.. basically just being all kinds of ignorant loud... well... you can guess what happened next... about 6 or 7 dudes immediately hopped up from the table and chairs they were in and right away jumped on this kid before a CO could even react and he got his ass BEAT!!!! 2 CO per unit, theyre not getting in between 6 or 7 fairly large people who are jumping someone, call for back up, wait for back up, then break it up (about a 90 second wait, give or take) It was worth a good laugh I guess because when all was said and done, when new kid was laying in a pool of blood, one of the dudes that beat his ass was like "FUCK COLUMBUS!" and everyone just laughed... The new Loud Kid, was never seen again, far as I know he took P.C. and as we all know, once you take that even for one night, its over, even in Juvi you're labeled a punk and will be treated as such.. sorry for the long rant, telling stories thru typing isn't really my Forte, could have told the same story verbally in like 30 seconds, lmao. Love the content man, just came across you the other day and already like it.. keep it up.

Wasn't Marion a medium security prison ? I'm 60 years old , started my first number in 1983 . Did 6 years...was paroled out of OSR -Mansfield in 89 . 90 days out , went back and did another 7 years . Paroled in 1996 ..2014 I went down for another 2 years . Been in 8 different prisons in Ohio..10 if ya count 2 of them twice . Your right about the city's sticking together back in the day . But that's all changed to gang's any more .

Here in Philly if you're dealing with a domestic or an assault charge it's actually a good thing if the "victim" doesn't show up but they'll give you 2 more court dates and if the victim doesn't show up the other 2 times the case will get thrown out and the charges get dropped.. it sucks that you have to be locked up for like 3-4 months depending how quick you're able to get court dates but usually you're down for average 2-3 months when the victim doesn't show up

@madhustlelvls9568 Жыл бұрын
In many west coast prisons you’re told to respect everyone. And you need permission to do anything from trading with other races to even fighting sometimes. Its because there’s a lot of money on the yard. And if you get into anything or make the CO’a mad they’ll likely come in with guns and masks and toss the whole unit. If it’s serious enough they’ll search every cell in the prison. Find weapons, drugs and contraband. And if that happens you’re fkd.

@@AngloSupreme Yeah Death is a cool mfer. But whenever he speaks on west coast prisons he doesn’t know what he’s talking about lol. At least he’s straight forward with it though. But you gotta understand the politics in the west. If you get locked up in prison and some jails it’s racially divided. Not all jails are but the majority are self segregated. The prisons are segregated by classification / prison staff and by the inmates. So if you break any rules there’s a good chance it can cause racial conflict. Which will get the entire prison shut down quick. The rules about respect are more so to protect the individual inmates from severe disciplinary action and to prevent racial violence. Plus, like I said, there’s a ton of drugs and contraband in the prisons that’ll be found if the prisons get searched. And If you piss off the staff you will get retaliated against. Usually in the form of tossing cells or units. Imagine the lost money and angry drug addicts.
