One lava pool can work to activate 2 portals if you have doors on either side. Same goes for the powder snow dispenser, you could have one observer clock face into a block with a dispenser on either side facing into the portals so you would only need 4 observers and 2 sticky pistons. Both work but this just saves resources.

Love this!. It's scalable too. On my single player world I just used 2 portals 9 by 9 adjusted the waterflow accordingly into a single trident killer off to one side. No, the rates aren't as high but still awesome for single player. I also tried to build a super smelter for the swords but even on my scaled down version it couldn't keep up without making it way too big for purpose.

Thanks, I'd recommend using a single portal design in that case, up to 23x23. That will save items, obsidian and will be more efficient.

You can make a item sworte as there is no unstackable item accept sword sorting you can use the other item cheat as sword category then you can add a super smelter connecting that chest which will automatically convert sword into gold nuggets

@@Midnight_AM I don't remember commenting but I think I was exaggerated it a bit but you can get about 100 in around 7 minutes or so. I think I used silentwisperer guardian farm it said it takes around 10 minutes but I got it quicker with impaling five on all tridents

Know this is old but just use a regular sorter for everything else and let the swords go into the overflow or burn them

I made it in my single player world and it is great, the chests couldn’t keep up with the swords within 5 minutes and I had 2 stacks of gold ingots after half an hour! So make sure you put double the amount of chests or make a lava disposing system. TIP: you will find looting 2 swords in the chests so take one of those and hold it like said in the video! You are best setting it up for only one kill chamber so then you can make an item sorter and collect all the xp from one place so you can go afk also just burn the swords in lava with the item sorter that's the best way to do it but nice design and use trapdoors to stop fire spreading to the blocks.

One important thing is to make sure FireSpread is on for your world or server. Otherwise the portals won't get activated.

I made my own version of this basically instead of stacking it side to side i stacked it from bedrock to build height and i didnt realize my portal at my base connected to it and i runned the gold farm for emeralds like i usually do and i stopped it and i entered the nether for something but there was at least 300 pigmen waiting for me angry i died and lost only my shovel so its a relief but i should have known that portals connect even from a far distance

Every time a nether portal is ignited, there is a chance to spawn a piglin. The bigger the portal, the higher the chance. And it doesn't matter what's in the nether at all.

Since water can transport xp orbs now, If you can manage to connect a water stream to the two you can funnel the xp right to you and have the items pass over some hopper minecarts to collect those before they get to you. Just need a one block open space protected by a top placement trap door to prevent babies from escaping on both sides and then you should be able to connect the stream from both.

I’ve also noticed the trident killer on this design causes tridents to fall through the block they’re on occasionally since the piston is ore extended, leaving the tridents not sitting on a “complete” block. I’ve had them fall like 5-6 blocks down and even destroy my hopper minecarts. Silents design seems to stop thy from occurring from what I’ve seen.

@by James I built this in my creative world last night and it works really well. I did change it slightly using @Silent wisperer trident killer using packed ice to collect loot and then bubble elevator the xp to me on an afk platform. I then re routed the switches so i can turn it all on and off with 2 levers. Great video easy to follow and understand. Thank you. Now to put it in my realm 😂

You can stack up vertically and redirect the pigmen to the same killing zone for max production

I think you can just use water buckets instead of powdered snow. That’s what I did on my last world where I created essentially the same farm, just with 2 slightly smaller portals and without the trident killer

Well I was a bit worried when I ran out of building blocks but other than that everything was accurate to the item list and the farm really does work well. Took it from lvl 33 to 41 in maybe 2 minutes of testing and healed up all my gear. I had to turn it off bc I can already tell this thing is gonna overflow with golden swords if I don't work out a sorting system before resuming it. Great farm!

Also create bigger trident killing system covers all the blocks of the killing platform and finally included super simple automatic sorting and smelting system for the items. bedrock edition

so if you dont care so much about rotten flesh and sword you can set up filters for nuggets and ingot (about a double chest of ingots an hour per chamber and about 3 to 4 stacks of ingots per hour) and than set up dispencer clocks to shoot rotten flesh and swords into some lava id suggest 2 dispencer clocks one per chamber havent backed up since adding these if you really want the full rates on gold maybe set up some kind of smelter system for the swords

I recommend putting blocks above the second killing chamber and water on top so all of the piglins go into one chamber, Increases the xp and overall it makes the farm better. Also you NEED to build an auto sorter as after literally a minute of running this farm you will have 2 double chests of gold swords. But overall this is a fantastic farm, got to level 143 in an hour and more than 2 and a half stacks of gold blocks per hour! Recommend building it

Hi James, the farm continues to run great but I found an interesting little foible. A heap of the xp is going down into the hoppers so you have to go under the trident killers to collect it. I found a solution though; if you replace the hoppers inside the farm with blocks, and put hopper minecarts under those, the majority of xp funnels to the player.

Use a mud block on top of the hopper. Xp won’t get stuck, and all the items will go through the mud (because mud isn’t a full block). You’ll have to move the trident killing machine up 1 block as well

Anyone have any tips on how to make sure you are getting the experience from inside the hoppers? It tends to get stuck very easily.

I honestly suggest taking away the bottom kill chamber and chests. Look for another KZfaqr like ssilentwhiperer maybe and take his bottom and literally just add it to this. It’s really really simple and he makes a very good item sorter and u could add as many chests to it. After that u could add break one block on the bottom Of the 2 pillers to where u could see there feet then add a half slab and make a water stream leading to u. U could get all the xp from both and it won’t get stuck

@@Destroyer-ki6ln carpets wouldn’t work because the pistons to the kill chamber will break them.. the way I fixed it was by replacing the hoppers with blocks and put a mine cart hopper under it and made my own item sorter. If u want to see how I have my world I can show u? Or just KZfaq the kill chamber and the item sorter🤷🏾‍♂️

When the nether portal is constantly lit up and off, it spawns piglins. Simple!

When the a portal is lit it has a chance to spawn zombie piglins based on the area of the portal. This consistently happens on one side of the portal, which is based on the cardinal directions. The lighting works because although fire can spread to trapdoors, they dont burn.

I made it one drop tube and a different trident killer I get way more xp faster and afk without walking sometimes gotta tweak it for your own liking

I find a lot of xp gets stuck in the hoppers so I used full blocks with Minecraft hoppers and that stopped xp getting stuck

Guess you could extend it, but there is no need to. With those 4 portals and around 15 blocks killing line - there are approximately around 200 live monsters and /w looting 3...the items dropped. Let's just say that you don't need that much
