I have the 2018 iPad Pro and its a beauty. Most apps aren’t fast enough to keep up with this one yet. Why get a faster one now? Who actually uses the camera on the iPad? Maybe the Nov 2020 IPad Pro will be worth the upgrade. We’re pretty much getting the 2019 IPad Pro late.

Brah My desk top gave up the ghost and I’m not replacing it. My iPad Pro does what I need. No slow updates and glitches that plague pc. I’m stuck using a pc at work and good grief it sucks.

no, but since the I pad is magnetically attached, it shouldnt be too difficult to take off the I pad from the case for a second

Do you know if the new iPad keyboard will be foldable completely to the back, so you can still use the iPad to write with the pencil? If is not possible, then would be too expensive to actually lose one feature over the ones we are gaining.

Someone mentioned that the CPU for their ARM tech was so good (most developers not utilizing it’s full potential) that doing a Z version and upping the GPU instead was the best choice along with standardizing 6 RAM for all models. What do you think of that comment, I’m very curious.

It is not so easy with wifi 6 - in the used intel gen you have to implement a controller (20-30bugs expensive) to be able to use it.

As much as I’d like the iPad keyboard it’s just not worth it. The Logitech keyboard from 2018 is perfect and the trackpad on the Pro 11 looks tiny. I’m sticking with my current setup and have ordered a space grey Magic Trackpad 2, at least I can use that with my other Apple stuff.

Hugh Janus Honestly, MacBook Air as I have been thinking of getting one and the cooling is the only reason stopping but I’ve realised that I will not be editing 4K videos or programming (basically any heavy tasks) on the MacBook. I will most of the time be using it for writing and school work so I think it fits into my personal category.

Ha, i currently also have a ipad 6th gen and was pocketing money away for a pro and lucky that i waited for the new ones because i think these are priced better then the 2018 models. Now you get a default of 128GB and 6GB RAM vs 64GB 4RAM. I placed my per-order 2 days ago and got to wait 10 days so im all hyped :)

The MacBook Air is the real winner here. A starting price or &999 with 256 GB of storage and 1 a TB model with 16 GB of RAM (dual core) $1,599 instead of $2,000+. The iPad Pro 2020 doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade, but the new magic keyboard sounds promising with the upcoming iOS updates. I am more interested to see if Apple release another iPad Pro this year with the miniLED display, 5G, and the rumoured 5nm A14x processor.

Do you know if the November model will be both in the 11 and 12.9 inch size? Heard a rumor that it was only going to be the 12.9 inch. Was looking into purchasing a new ipad pro but I might be able to wait until November if it will come out in the 11 inch model as well.

What I know about the new iPad pro is that it’s a pointless refresh and you should wait for the drop later this year. The new iPad Pro has an A12z which I’m sure was covered in the this video. Theoretical benchmarks put it as performing only 8% better than the 2018 model. The new one dropping later this year is rumored to include the new a14 chip. The one actually worth my money.....just my .02

It isn't good for students, because it doesn't have adobe illustrator and acrobat standard dc. Which may not be important to most, but in Australia students need these two apps for school. This is why I'm buying the new macbook air for my son.

For productivity related it's fine and even better than last gen. I guess it's the most selled mac. But design or edition it lacks the screen stuff and dedicated graphics

The keyboard is definitely a big upgrade - with the price to show for it, $500 after taxes where we live. Difficult to see the market for this iPad Pro 2020 - even more so since the new keyboard works with the 2018s - brilliant this, Apple. 2018s are awesome. As for people wanting to buy their first Pro, why not wait a few months.

It seems like they put all the cool stuff in the iPad Pro. 5 mics WiFi 6, New cameras. It’s like they don’t want you to but a mac. Why can’t they put Face ID in the MacBook 16? It’s a $2500 computer. Us Mac users can’t even get a 1080p web cam.

One thing that all of tech YT's are conveniently forgetting is that the 2020 MBA is passively cooled.... There is a fan, but its not connected to both CPU and GPU. Its just there as a placebo... You don't put a passive cooling on a 4core CPU and just call it a day. I predict an MBA cpu-gate 1-2 year from now.

24/25: @ 12:15 You showed a sheet from Intels Comet Lake Processors whereas the Macbook Air has Ice Lake CPUs in it which do support wifi 6 (Wifi AX) but is not integrated into the cpu.

About the WiFi 6 thing: I think Apple uses Broadcom WiFi chips only, as it works well with macOS. I think iMessage and handoff relies on custom made stuff in the Broadcom chip that Intel couldn’t do, which makes it lose WiFi 6

Isn’t it usually so that in the US prices are shown without tax, whereas in the UK they include tax? So actually the $350 keyboard excluding 20% tax in USA would be cheaper than the 350£ UK version including 20% vat with the UK pound at currently 1,15
