I bought assembled REPT 300ah/280AH package after six months I had 3 balloon cells we had to cut through the structure to get them out they were replaced by warranty but the guy told me that this was abused any way still trying to balance them even though I have 2 packages 105ah eve 2 years old in parallel with this one they are okay. The bad cells rendered the capacity down to just 150AH

Even if you have to top balance it once, the quality of the battery is there.

I also thought, the price is too high but as you said considering all the material they used, case, flexible busbars, DC circuit breaker, BMS, ... it's actually pretty reasonable. And you get your 10yrs warranty on top, so... Some also cannot build their own batteries and are looking for alternatives.

Correct, the voltage drop is essential and tells us which cable size we can use. The shorter the better. For our battery installation, the 3% or 4% rule does not really apply But I was trying to keep my cables under 2% for all my installations

Yes, I would. That is my hobby and I like solving little problems and learning from my previous built. I would do it differently now though. The shelf is pretty much designed and build for these three rows of batteries. Now, I want to expand... the design makes it very difficult though. Oh, well, I'll figure it out...

Bluetooth is not a separate module in the Seplos, it is integrated in the display or in the BMS PCB, depending on the version of BMS. I highly doubt, just connected a different screen will enable BT in the Pace BMS. There is more to it.

As they all have their own current limiter, they can just be linked together. Presumable, they also use the PACE BMS. Each battery has their own settings so should be set to a safe value for this particular battery. The master will, however, report it's settings to the inverter. I'm still testing the setup with two different batteries and BMS, so a video will be coming soon with more details. You have 6 on order, wow, going fully in! Nice.

Do you put three batteries in parallel and 16 of these packs in series? Would be one battery with one BMS. Do you have three separate rows of 16 batteries in series and you parallel these rows? That would mean 3 separate batteries and each needs its own BMS. The second method, although more effort and more expensive, is the preferred way because you will have all cells monitored individually. It is safer to do it that way. It also provides redundancy if one pack fails, two are still working.

I have made a few videos about CAN and RS485, Venus OS, JK, Daly and JBD BMS already. The communication between different BMS is rather difficult/impossible if they are not from the same manufacturer.

We have also the LV6548 inverter, each inverter come with ready made RJ45 cable to communication with battery

It's a Pace BMS, so they also make the software, I believe.

The battery has been operated within its specifications. It can handle 3500+ cycles with 100% DoD @ 1C. Running it down to almost 0% does not harm the longevity of a battery.

I agree, it's not the best way of how the app operates. And it's different to how other apps works, so that confused me...

I think the whole "current is on the negative and voltage is on the positive" scuttle butt is what the issue is. Voltage is between positive and negative. Current is from positive to negative (conventionally) or from negative to positive (electron flow). It's not separate like you posted. Yes DC Current and AC current ratings are different. Yes it depends on the length of the cable. Yes the rating goes up for high temp cable. But to get that rating you have to use that temperature range. Do you want a cable next to lithium cells to reach 200°C in order to handle that amount of current? Better to over spec the cable so that the temperature remains low. So a 200° C cable rated for 100A over 30cm is probably best used for (rough, uncalculated example) a planned current of no more than 60A, which would only raise the cable temperature by maybe 30°C. Which could bring it to about 50-60°C. You NEVER use things to their full rating. All that heat generation means you're losing energy as heat, and 200° C (392 ° F) is very very hot and would mean a huge energy loss and be very harmful right next to a lithium cell.

Conventional flow isn't disproven, it is now understood as the flow of positive charge, or holes... Which of course compliments electron flow which is negative charge. Negative charge flows to fill the holes, leaving a hole. Electron flows to fill the hole, creating a hole. Thus the holes (or positive charge) are understood to flow contrary to electron flow. It's not disproven, it's a different perspective, yet it holds true with electron flow. Voltage is literally the difference in charges of the positively charged terminal and the negatively charged terminal. This creates a potential to 'do work' (move charges.. either charge in their respective directions, simultaneously) That's why it's also known as the Potential Difference of the cell/battery/pack. While we're using the terms positive charge and negative charge, allow me to clarify. A thing is negatively charged if it has a build up of electrons, or is capable of generating electrons. The larger the build up of electrons or the ability to produce electrons in a thing, the more negatively charged that thing is. A positive charge is a lack of electrons, or an availability to accept electrons. The larger the lack of electrons or ability to accept electrons a thing has,, the more positively charged that thing is. If the charges are the same (equal) there is no difference, no potential, we call that 0v. If there is a large difference, we call that a high voltage, or high potential difference. So, no voltage isn't on just the positive terminal. And electrons have to flow FROM somewhere TO somewhere else. So NO current isn't just on the negative terminal. Whether you measure the current closer to the positive terminal or the negative terminal is irrelevant. That's why you find shunts on the negative line OR the positive line. You COULD put one on each line. You may even notice a delta between them, but it would be miniscule in a safe system (IE no current leakage in the circuit) and could be due to variances in the actual shunts used to measure current. So people just use one shunt. Even if you're driving a resistive heater, you don't lose electrons. The electron flow from negative to positive, whether measured near the negative terminal or near the positive terminal, shouldn't differ too much. Energy in the system is lost as heat, because that voltage has to be used up to push the electrons through the highly resistive element, to make it to the positive terminal. And of course "used up" means the electron flow from negative to positive results in the potential difference, the difference in charge, is reduced due to electrons leaving the negative terminal (so it becomes less negatively charged) and travelling to the positive terminal, reducing the overall lack of electrons on that terminal. It doesn't burn away never to be seen again. Matter isn't changing to antimatter or anything else. It electrons moving from one place in the circuit to another place in the circuit. It does have the effect that the potential to move the electrons lowers. The voltage lowers. But it can be measured at either end of the circuit, near the negative terminal or near the positive terminal. The current flows through cables at either terminal. As an amp is a count of electrons passing a point in the circuit, you will see lower amps when the voltage is lower, for the given circuit. Energy, volts, amps are dissimilar terms. Yet they are all related. You can't alter one without the others being affected, in the same circuit.

nope it's not just china that still uses serial cables generally they are very common on enterprise servers still iirc

All batteries have serial cables, either RS232 and or RS485. That's an industry standard which works well.
