Brand new JCB 4CX being trialled with a full Engcon tilt rotator and control system. The JCB can be driven and operated from any seat position through the Engcon joysticks. This is the most complex Engcon system in a backhoe loader anywhere in the World and was undertaken by the team at Engcon UK.

I have a very similar machine I purchased new in 1989. It is a Ingersoll Rand CT724 construction tractor. It is a equal size tire, 4 wheel steer, 4 wheel drive that has a 100 hp Cummins turbo diesel a Funk transmission and a removable backhoe made by Ware Machinery. I can find nothing about this machine on the web but out of all of the ones I have seen it resembles this JCB closely.

i think the Huddig 1260 is the ultimate backhoe loader :-) but this look really nice in this price range

I would like to see a JCB 4cx against a Huddig 1260E. although certainly Huddig beats the most Backhoe loader market

@ Gentian C.P. Price is €50,000 for a Jcb 4cx which is the maximum upgrade. €15,000 for minimum upgrade for a 3 ton track digger.

Can the 4CX front loader and transmission be operated whilst the Operator is facing backwards ie to speed up moving forward ?, - Like a Huddig ?

Yes it can. Almost every function is available through an Engcon adaptation

Actually nothing new to us. In here nordics, dealers have equipped dual/rear controls from somewhere end of -90's to Jcb, Newholland, Case, Fermec etc. Without these large modifications, markets here would be very small. Not sure, but to Cat this is perhaps not available even today. Plus front quick coupler and tilting coupler to rear. Or tiltrotators when customer ordered. The dual controls and others has been factory feature from somewhere -80's at Lännen, Huddig, Hydrema, Valmet/Hymas, Volvo 6300 and El70.

Then there is another benefits like front axle or waist oscillation lock and automatic digging brake, loader and excavator lift and breakout forces, operator ergonomy... The difference is quite clear.
