To be fair, Star Platinum seemed to always have had the ability to stop time. At least, several points before and after Crusaders reached Egypt, suggest so. The issue was that Jotaro either did not realised it, or never let anyone know.

It might be the case, that we're observing from Holly's perspective and that's why there is no tangible movement of the Star Platinum's hand, but still. b) The culmination of confrontation with The Lovers, when Star Platinum catches enemy's stand that is little enough to fit in a human earhole. What's curious about that one is that the stand user did not realized the moment his stand was caught, he still monologued about whatever and next thing he knows is that his body breaking to SP's fingers squeezing his stand. c) the most examplatory, the fight with a gamer standuser, whos name eludes me right now. There is a peculiar moment when Jotaro swaps cigarette for a drink, and nobody knows, when or how he did it, and the opponent calls Jotaro out on that, but no context is given by anyone in the scene. When you consider that SP might've had like a glimmer of a second worth of time stop, those instances start making much more sense. And it would also make sense that his ability to stop time would develop duration through DIO using Za Warudo, since usage of it increased his own (DIO's) capacity to keep the time stopped. Upd. And I probably missed some other examples.

Well tbh Dio is an idiot he knew from the start that he could move during stopped time and he didn't even try to kill him fast. Jotaro is way smarter and we can prove it because of the magazines

@@neverfone100 Jotaro baited dio though, jotaro use the magnet to make Dio think he could stop time without actually doing it. Once Dio thought he couldn’t stop time that’s when he got close but unfortunately for him he got baited then Jotaro attacked him and almost killed him.

The scary thing is that Dio really wasn’t even trying to kill Jotaro there. Star Platinum was blowing holes through a vampire earlier, so The World could easily obliterate Jotaro if he wanted to. But Dio wanted to end it as dramatically as possible with the road roller

@@Connor_Kirkpatricki dont agree completely. The world doesn’t nearly have as much physical power as SP. there is a reason he didn’t try to do a head on attack without stopping time. Dio knew he would lose if he tried to fight jotaro without using his time stop but Dio for sure play with Jotaro too much and it costed him the fight. I think he just had such an ego because of his power. He didn’t think it was possible he’d lose.

@@ThomasSchwietert The World casually donutted Kakyoin without even trying earlier that fight. If Dio wanted Jotaro dead there, he was dead, since he couldn’t move. Like you said, he was ego tripping, and wanted to end it in style

@@ThomasSchwietert The World had the upper hand when they exchanged attack rushes at the start of their battle. You can tell the World was landing more blows and his attacks were more devastating. It was fast enough to react to Jotaro’s first attack and even HIT Jotaro before Star Platinum managed to reach Dio despite Star Platinum attacking before the World.

sometimes! it’s dependent on the individual fight, but basically youtube allows up to 5 minutes of footage per episode, and I use those restrictions and re edit fights from the show so that their pace is faster and stays faster. I’ll also edit in new scenes or use footage not part of the original (such as giving RHCP a longer beatdown or making kira’s bites the dust scene interspliced with jotaro and koichi stopping him) to make the fight work even better

Because whatever dio really touches or uses becomes immune to the stopped time, just like the knives. When he threw a knife a t Joseph it stopped as soon as he threw it

Its something to do with Ariel movement, it still dosent make a ton of sense, but they use the power of their stands to kick/punch something with huge amounts of force to be able to fly, as you can see when jotaro blasted himself towards the air with a kick in the scene where Dio would throw the knifes. Such as 4:19 where you can see jotaro Boost himself in the air.

Yet again dosen't explain how dio is able to fly in the air without any sort of ariel movement. When he stopped time its normal for Jotaro to be in the air, but for him to be in the air whilst just Standing still wouldn't make a ton of sense. But who would really care, it just looks cool to witness and watch.
