What a crazy time to be alive... As I recorded this video, the whole world is being either advised to stay at home or soon will be; I hope that anybody watching can forget about the outside world for a few minutes and take a look at 3 brand new 2020 Kanile'a Ukulele models with me that arrived into stock last week.
The SUS-T Deluxe is a limited edition upgrade to our ever-popular SUS-T model. It consists of an Alaskan Rainbow Cedar Top with Mahogany back and sides. I love them all to be honest. I would love (and maybe one day could afford) the P1 but the SUS is awesome too. That super tenor - wowza that is one very special instrument. So on balance I’d say the P1 for me. Great video and sound again guys.

The P-1 ...hands down! I love this Ukulele. Would have loved to get the 2019 Platinum Pineapple, but $$$$. The P-1’s are perfect. Here’s hoping an Aussie dealer imports them. My fav Uke is my 2016 Kamaka HP-1, but I really want a tenor Pineapple! Thank you Kanilea.

Whilst I understand the markings on that master koa super tenor are a representation of their family tree to me me they look like razor wire which unfortunately makes me shudder. The sound however is superlative, just if I had that kind of money I'd want one without the razor wire motif. The pineapple tenor looks and sounds great though.

I get that... When I first saw it I had the same initial feelings. It grew on me in the flesh because of the craftsmanship that goes in to it. Alex

I have a SUS-T myself but I have to say I do like the full sound of that P-1!! My UAS is twitching.... what strings are you currently using on your SUS-T?

I am using Blue Label fishing line with a D'addario BEB031W low g and it sounds amazing! If you ever want a set I can cut you some to try when you buy something else, just ask on the phone 🙂

God - that 2020 looks amazing. So what IS a 'super tenor'? I assume it's still tuned GCEA so is it a hybrid that could also be DGBE like a baritone? Amazing design and great sound.

There are 2 types of super Tenor. The Platinum has a normal 17" Tenor scale but the body is bigger like a tiny baritone. The other type is 19" scale (in the middle between a Tenor and Baritone) and can he strung up and tuned gcea or dgbe.

Unfortunately not. The shipping costs are extremely high and we have had issues where customs reject parcels altogether for no reason. I am very sorry, we would have loved to help - have you tried the ukulele site in Hawaii? I imagine they would have better luck. All the best
