I love the way these reviews are made. KZfaq is full of "characters" trying to desperately say something different to garner more comments... this is concise and to the point, and I just missed the interior driving scenes from the older reviews. Regarding the car itself, I'm happy that there is finally a fun to drive proposition in the segment, glad to know that!

It's nice to see your excellent reviews again. However the audio mixing in this one is a bit all over the shop. Music is a bit loud and the microphone used sounds like one built into a webcam. The driving shots, angles and scenery though, are excellent. I would like the old school interior shots on the motorway to feature a little more, as I think they mix well with the driving shots. As for the car; I saw one at the Kia garage yesterday in red when signing some paperwork for my new Optima. It looks the business and I think I'd easily recommend one over others in the segment based on looks alone. :)

PLEASE tell me that regular video reviews are coming back! The old ones were my favorite. I was really sad to see them go.

Yeah I miss how they used to set off POV style and you got to hear the engine note, loved that!

How would you compare this to the Vitara S?

I'd say the Stonic has a greater sense of quality (plus a 7yr warranty, of course), feels far more spacious, and generally more 'sorted'. It's also better equipped and cheaper. Technically, the Stonic is quicker, but feels much less 'boosty' than the Vitara - that'll come down to personal preference. We don't like the over-eager throttle response or the steering of the Vitara, nor the hyperactive collision warning system, but it does have 4WD whereas the Stonic is 2WD only. Hope that helps!

P.S. I read there will be a facelift for the Vitara in the following months, maybe they can improve at least a few things... Think I will wait and see.
