Sorry but I am skipping the Benchmade portions of your weekly videos. They have hit their head and have began pricing their products out of my life. I could understand if they were special or cutting edge but they aren't so their loss. Thank you for giving us this show every week. Y'all really do a nice job. And thank you for showing us the products and not acting like a shady car salesman.

I've worked with Benchmade in the past (along with many of the other local PNW knife and tool companies up here)... they're a GARBAGE company and their quality is crap. The pricing is just the newest in a long line of idiocy at that trash company.

I love RoseCraft's design language with their traditional line. Just waiting for the sweet spot for me...their slip joints are gorgeous and perfect except for the D2 (personally). This modern version is great with the M390, but it has lost much of the classic beauty of the slips. If they could just put a more stainless steel on the nice classic slip series, I'd feel tempted. Maybe this continued venture into the modern traditional spells good news in the future.

The Tahoma is trying way too hard. I'm personally not a fan of gigantic choils - I like me a practical sharpening choil, but the ones that are designed to choke up on… call me crazy but I like to have my fingers on the correct side of the fingerguard. If you want more control, do away with a giant choil and bring the edge of the blade closer down. Second thing is that ridiculous wirecutter cutout compromising the strength of the already slightly narrow spine. How many of us are going to be doing trench warfare anytime soon? To me by far the biggest winner in terms of bang for the buck is the CJRB Nova, at least for EDC. The compound grind is beautifully done and very practical. Great looks, lightweight, deep carry clip, and a decent steel. It's just all win. Fun little observation: the MKM LOV texture pattern on the scales is the same design (but in monochrome) as the infamous carpeting from the Overlook Hotel in Stanley Kubrick's 'The Shining'.

My problem with OTF knives is no lock. I would own an OTF if it had a lock on it. I just don't want to accidentally trigger the OTF and end up in the hospital with a knife in my leg ...

DA OTF knives do not work like that for multiple reasons. The first being, they do not shoot out nearly that hard. It probably wouldn’t penetrate your pocket. It might scratch your leg at worst. The second reason it wouldn’t happen is the force and the angle of the force needed to fire the knife are not going to happen in a pocket. They are really much less likely to come open in your pocket than any folder.

Glad you guys are acknowledging tje AR-RPM9 is basically 9cr now. I wad worried you were worried about upsetting CJRB by not continuing to tout their claims that it should be similar to D2 in edge retention. Now if only the manufacturer themselves would stop misleading vendors amd customers alike.

I wish Benchmade would release more knives with Dymondwood scales. I’d ask you guys if you could do an exclusive model with them like you did with the Pakkawood Spyderco line, but they don’t really have any models suitable for the look. Well, maybe the Fact if they removed the holes in the handle.

But where did Spyderco get the name Bodacious? Kidding, I know, just wanted to hear you explain it. Do not look up Tuff Hedeman’s attempt to ride Bodacious if you aren’t ready to see why he goes by “Tuff”.

Skipping the Bodacious. Flat handles/worse ergos, no fabulous choil, fewer clip mounts, bad price, and Spyderco's s30v is fine but too chippy for hard use. Cruwear or magnacut or lc200n much more appropriate and strong. Feels like a miss.

Be careful in the ability to swap the bodacious scales with shaman scales. Have seen some people in some groups saying it was causing up and down play in the lock up.
