Im amazed by both the thought of turning the pocketclip into a tool but sighed when it was a bottle opener. Im wondering how many other places we can add a bottle opener too.

Dear @knifecenter . Just to rise my voice for our neighbor Czech knife makers and their language, the correct name of the knife is Mikov "Kostka". That's also how the Czech word for cube is written. I have no idea how to properly phonetically transcribe it for English speaking folks, but Google Translate can say it properly :-)

Ad-20 Handle should have been made in Italy, their heat treats for blades are usually on the softer side

Nice job. I still think an easy thing to do that would be very helpful would be to see what it looks like in a pocket. Even if that means bring a piece of cardboard and sliding it on that. Great content though!

Ordered one of the 20i’s for my 5th AD20. This one will be my dedicated user. Good opportunity here for people who want an AD20. I know some people only want American production but honestly Italy is fine with me especially because the CPM 20CV is still American steel

$425 for is really great. I got an AD20S , diamond texture Ti handles , S20V at the NYCKS at the end of March. They were a brand new batch from custom shop which is what I wanted BUT , it was $650. Probably could pick up that one , swap out the scales and still come in under what I paid. You live , you learn, lol

it's a "real" Demko, man. Anytime you step up to custom or semi-custom pocketknives this (400ish) is going to be the starting point. Not to mention he's the hottest knifemaker on the planet for the last 5 or so years. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if my wife would let me :)

So the aluminum Olight bit driver ($40) is almost half the weight and half the price of the Titanium version. I’ll go with the lighter version all day long.

I’d assume they are heat treated in Italy. Which the major Italian OEMs are known for terrible heat treatment.

What's the HRC on the Italian made 20CV Demko blades? Italy scares me, they like it soft.

No, that is a myth started by some KZfaq knife influencers some time back. They don’t have instruments to measure it nor do they get proportionate sample size. And they somehow think doing amateur reviews of knifes makes them smarter than the Italians who have been making knives for over 150 years. If you go to Demko’s site where he talks about the HRC ranges. Like Spyderco he doesn’t post the HRC.

@@davidgarrett5671 The Italians sometimes advertise their targeted HRCs. The Maniago manufacturers like running high-carbide steels like 20CV and M390 softer than I'd prefer. This isn't missing their target, its hitting a target that cuts their abrasives (and maybe warranty) costs. Running soft makes sense on something like the Demkos, which don't have slicey geometries. Differerent strokes. Personally, I like more moderate carbide steels (with more intrinsic toughness) (like S35 or CPM-154) in thinner geometries run hard, as that permits reprofiling to more acute edge angles, while retaining edge stability.

So many Italian knives I want. But unless it's n690 I'm not buying... Ive had 12 different pm steels from Italy and there all soft. Maybe things have changed over the last year but I'm not betting my money on it... One exception. The loon spy with m390 was heat treated well... But that's the only one

Honestly Asking more then 20$ is a crime The material used is 1/2 of the material needed for a pocket knife And with nothing else going into it other then an inlay They should give you one of these any time you buy a 200$+ Artisan cutlery knife

I think demko miss calculated what the ad20 is to their fans it’s an American made knife and blade. It’s their knife if they want to add an Italian made blade that’s fine but I seen multiple people in the knife community stop and think about it. Mostly because it’s not gonna have that scalper value the American made knife’s have.

man I'd LOVE to get another AD20, the only problem? *your website doesn't accept my payments* like, I've called yall on the phone, called my bank, tried 4 times and still won't let me in. if you would at LEAST accept paypal or something similar I am positive your sales would skyrocket because I know i'm not the only one with this problem. Mikov Kosta does not mean cube actually. Kosta means nothing in Czech ;) its actual name is Kostka tho, which is cube :D so you guys have a wrong name presented i think

Anybody else getting tired and burnt out on the "modern folder" knife? Especially the ones with "super steels" that are hard to sharpen and priced to the moon. Things that need to go away in the knife world: Benchmade, The James Brand, Chi-com XcrXmov steels, Frame-locks, liner-locks, flipper tabs that don't hide when the baldes deployed, knives without and hipsters who think talking about knives online and fidgeting with them is the same thing as using them in the field.

Man this really sucks. I love the look of that Pyrite with the Bowie blade. But Artisan Cutlery and CJRB can go pound sand. Until they acknowledge or remedy their AR-RPM9 lies, half truths or vagaries about their “Powder” steel. I actually made past purchases with them over another brand. Because I weighed the supposed advantage of their ‘powder” steel in their favor. Plus they never corrected anyone presenting knives for sale who mentioned it as such. Shot Show, Blade Show, every interview perpetuating a falsehood. They won’t get a dime from me again. Word to the wise for KZfaq Salesmen. Don’t continue pushing their bad information. You lose your customers trust and you won’t have the benefit of the doubt, or their continued business. Just my .02

Where is DCA? He is the best and is animated where Seth is OK as long as you enjoy watching paint dry. I understand that it's not easy making videos but he just seems a bit pretentious, like he should be working in a coffee shop. Too bad everyone likes to ruin things that work. I used to enjoy Thursday new knife days but not anymore. Nice job knife center.
