19:25 - the two slots in the belt loop of the sheath allow you to straddle it about a belt loop on your jeans so it stays put

The slots on the CS sheath are so you lock it in place via threading the belt out one slot, thru a belt loop, then back thru the other slot.

I really like it, but nothing would persuade me to pay more than $200 for a CRKT knife. Put Hogue's name on it and I'd be all over it and wouldn't quibble with the price at all.

That Fox Vulpis can opener is actually a lot more useful as a package opener. I use the package opener blade all the time on my Gerber Dime and I expect I would use it even more often with the Fox Vulpis.

I like that Mikri too, but would like it to be a little thinner for its blade length, 0.170" vs. its little brother the Makri at 0.11 thick". What do you think?

The Cold Steel knife reminds me of the Esee 6 with 3D handles. Minus the full flat grind.

The slots in the belt loop are designed to fix the sheath on the belt. Keeps it from easily sliding down your belt.

You can buy the arcade with a left mounted clip, or you can also buy left sided inlays that have screws holes drilled out for the pocket clip, if one so desired... just so y'all know.

I have the Mercury version of that Prometheus knife. Mine has beautiful stag, and I think I paid $40 less earlier this year. One bonus over mine is the Phillips screwdriver, mine has a corkscrew.

My favourite of the shown knives is definitely the "Redemption". Unfortunately not available in Germany yet. I hope that changes in the future. But I am really curious why the last knife on the table is blurred???

That Benchmade Mini Freek reminds me of the Ritter Griptillian. Is Bench made doing a decent heat treatment of CPM-M4 these days (I've been out of the knife hobby for awhile)?

The arcade can made ambidextrous by drilling a 7/64(2.5 mm) hole in the inlay. If ordered directly from flytanium they will do it for you if you request it in the order notes.

someone let DCA know that the Arcade does have a reversible pocket clip. underneath the G10 inlay it is tapped for the pocket clip screws. just have to drill a hole in the weird inlay

If they're giving us the cutting efficiency of a dagger the might as well sharpen both sides. If not give us a full flat grind.

I agree. Not sure why they grind so much of the non-sharpened side without fully taking advantage of creating an edge there as well. Pointy but not sharp. Weird.

Daggers are classified different legally in a lot of places, so they let you sharpen that side yourself, but sell it everywhere.

Question: the most important feature I look for in a knife is a deep carry pocket clip, but I cannot organize your search options to include that. Can you reccomend some high end options for me plz? I also like drop point, unagressive blades.

See, I thought I remembered hearing that assisted knives exist because you need to directly interact with the blade to open it, making it not an automatic, or a gravity knife. Could the CRKT Redemption be considered a gravity knife? Or even an auto? I don't think there is any spring acting on the blade, but there is some kind of spring force that happening when you pull the cross bar. I want one

The crossbar does interact with the blade as far as something "direct" since it runs into the blade to unlock. Otherwise, yeah I'm sure it could raise some flags. Gravity knife locking mechanisms don't seem to interact with the blade at all compared to the Redemption, so you could argue it's not a gravity knife.

@@PulledPurk I like it a lot tbh. I never had a crossbar lock knife before, but I liked the idea of a knife without a flipper tab so it doesn't catch my pocket. I think it's worth it if you're looking for a solid-sized knife with magnacut steel. Side Note: You can flick it out without using the crossbar to unlock it.
