I was just at the New Jersey star fair in Sussex county and I got 2 c a BX, B and L series labors and they were very nice tractors.

I'm interested but that stack with the wide slots seems like a good place to build up chaff when messing with straw.

A Kubota with a Cummins that's cool ive always thought Kubota has always used their own engines on their equipment and I know Cummins once built a superior truck engine the big cam 400 N14 are good engines the 6.7 i hear is a good engine I haven't heard good things about the x15 and isx series some tractor brands use Cummins John Deere Stieger Case Massey Ferguson and Versatile and White.

I think it would be nice to have a m7 kubota with a 2wd front axle and the v5009 engine setup i would probably use it for tractor pulling just my opinion

Will this tractor be running the newest Stage 5 Emissions Cummins engine ?? I can tell thats a Crenlo Cab Made in Minnesota and the ZF trans i think Claas uses it in their Axion tractors . I would also not be a bit at all suprised if its a Gima Rearend which Agco and claas use in just about every tractor they build

I’m assuming this specific unit is a prototype of the upcoming. I see some “non production” parts like the radiator shroud. Looks hand crafted and fiberglass unless they are planning on beefing that up for some reason. I love how kubota partners with companies that are superior in their markets rather than trying to reinvent which in turn continues a legacy and keeps costs down on premium products. I see a lot of talk on wether or not the new M8 can be marketed against John Deere and case CNH in weight and over all performance but I don’t see it. I see nothing but heavy cast and heavy steel plate in the construction and without ballast weights John Deere and case come in respectively the same specs per manufacturers literature. Of course there are hardly any tractors ballasted the same as another farmers and as far as the power plant it’s a Cummins. This is an engine platform that is used widely across the market in terms of industrial, agriculture, commercial, and private and that means parts are widely available and supported at many dealers and 3 party parts stores. Kubota basically partnered with a world class at company (Versatile) and incorporated what they thought is lacking in today’s “high speed” markets making it desirable and enough “gadgets” to push that farmer that has an older piece of equipment into a new purchase rather than trading a tractor for tractor. Don’t knock innovation when we the customers are constantly begging for more. I’m in the hay and forage end of the ag world and too small of an operation for a unit like this but it is certainly worth its grain in salt.

it has to be good,period.KUBOTA cannot afford to make mistakes when they jump in bed with a major supplier.They have a solid reputation,and its a big risk to job out drivetrains to a new supplier.They obviously have a lot of faith in CUMMINS,I hope it all works out,nice tractor.NOW,about the emission side of things?

You know Kubota is serious when they don't have the engine they want from Kubota and they go with Cummins. The other tractor folks need to pay attention.

Disappointed that Kubota had someone manufacture a tractor for them. They have always been a leader.

They should put a Kubota engine instead of a Cummins

With the 6.7 cummins it should be easy to tune to 500+ hp and 1000+ lb ft of torque.

Hopefully it does ok for them. Basically all proven vendor components, so can’t be too terrible. Kubota need to get their sh!t together and design a decent heavy 100-150hp Ag tractor now. MGX/M6 is ok, still too light and needs 3 speed PTO and proper front axle with suspension. The M7 has struggled a bit to sell in Australia - great machine but that big four cylinder engines is hella thirsty and PTO performance fairly ordinary. Not sold on the Cummins propaganda BS, Kubota should just bone up and design their own six-cylinder which I hope they do. I bet there are swarms of Japanese engineers crawling all over the Versatile factory making sure the quality is up to snuff!
