I’d be looking on co-part for a front end damaged one, and hack the rear off, or I wonder if you could use a bulk head from a defender commercial to close it off. Exciting build this one, like the old west cost custom pimp my ride days, lenny could be Xzibit 😂😂I personally would have done a 110 pick up, but the 90 is what you’ve got to work with, I’m sure you’ll do a great job!

This will be epic. Can’t wait to see what you guys do with this. No doubt with the expertise of the guys it’ll look like it’s rolled out the factory. Pressed URBAN under the rear window would look cool.

@@UrbanAutomotive For me it seems so obvious that this pickup need a 110 base instead of the 90, then it will have a larger pickup bed and real utility, like transport motor bikes. For the 90 base version, it could be a soft top like the Wrangler, keeping the rear seats. LR should do both, but in the meantime, you could do it very well.

Having spent the first 15 years of my life in mechanical enginering i can't see that this is such a big job .A skilled sheet metal worker should find this easy .

Time to go shopping on Copart for a crashed one. Then you can use the full roof skin and cut it as you need it, use the rear door frame&glass. I’m 100% sure your lads will sort it out. Should be a very interesting build.

Guys I would love if you can make Defender 90 look like Jeep Wrangler . With bars on top , just like a Rubicon or Sahara type but Defender 90 .

A true land rover lover would definitely be up for this! Anyone who is ex forces or enjoys off roading, then this is’ iconic’ The colour looks to be a modern update on the basic military palate used in certain areas of the world I’ll be interested to see if you can make it match the computer generated images without spending a small fortune!! 1 million percent , no checker plate though please . nice wood floor would be nice for interior finishes and better for where it would be used . Even Paris Dakar style with spare on top of roll bars and big light bar winch etc the Bronco killer ! It needs to be a a 110 though for sure .

The car is too short for that modification. Try it on the 130 and then the States will go nuts for it

I think it looks really tricky but how useful could it be for everyday use. i,e is the bed big enough. Look about for a totalled defender to use the rear door etc.

The 90 should be your free swing as they say at working it all out. What would be the show stopper and the way forward and you would have all the parts you’ve mentioned. Make the job easier is do a 110 pickup makes the project more worthwhile and usable. That’s from a driver of a current vw pickup.

Me thinks you should do a 130 DC pick up, but on a V8 platform. If you’re cutting a defender, then cut the best one.
