How to install new shop led lighting. Yup, that's simple and easy.
The lighting in my shop has been lackluster for as long as I can remember. Because it faces
the south the sun can cause some real exposure problems especially during the winter when the sun
is the furthest south in the sky. This contributes to a black hole effect on the exposure of particular
camera angles. One half of my shot tends to be overexposed while the other half is black as night.
I always have to spend time in post-production trying to fix the issue or I am relegated to shooting in only
one direction. hopefully, some new shop LED lighting that I got off of Amazon for around $50 will help me out.
First I'll talk about my plans for a new and more comfortable home studio where I can do my video editing
and the creative process.

I just got and installed a bunch of those in my shed. Great price and I only needed 6 of the 10 in the pack to light up the shed like nobodies business.

Funny you mention that cause I put 4 up in the shop and tested the light output. I almost left it at four before deciding to put the last two up as well. Pretty bright set of lights I gotta say.

I bet it was a pen or something in tha Amazon package, we can't get over heads round it on how much packaging Amazon use for some items here in the UK. but anyway Stan have a nice day and I will be looking forward to more videos !!!

Any idea it it’s possible to replace the leds in those lights without replacing the entire light or is that not a think with leds?

Not with these. Seems like you replace the whole thing. Each one is less than $10 so it doesn't really matter.

Generally not a thing as the LEDS last for a very long time and the price of the entire fixture is not much more than buying the strips of LEDS on spools. i suppose it could be done but I bet by the time mine are done (15+ years by my estimation) there will be much better items available.

Stan Sullivan i was more concerned with them disappearing from the market in 2 or 3 years and not being able to find a replacement with a compatible plug type. I guess it’s the risk you take for the price.

Compatible plug in a few years might be an issue. Something to keep in mind. However, I'd probably just clip the old style off and wire an adapter if it came to it.

I agree. Just like the T12 was replaced by T8 then T5 and now LED. Something new always comes along.

just my 2 cents, from experience. I think Its a bad idea to make a TV your main monitor. the resolution sucks and most times aspect ratio is out , not to mention color gamut is wrong and it runs warmer thus over the long run can get a little uncomfortable. Although I am not sure if its related , but I suspect it accelerated my eyesight's deterioration as well... but hey , like I said its just my opinion. Different strokes for different folks

I use TV's for monitors on all our computers. The only actual computer monitor I have is the one on the right for my current two monitor set up. To each his own I guess. Peace.
