New Lego 2cyl Oscillating Engine

Son had some fun and wanted to try the oscillating piston engine in a 2cyl design. Works ok but has a lot of friction to overcome for our small vacuum.
Soon we will showcase all the vacuum engines he has made and give you an overall take on his favorites and why.

this is really well designed, especially keeping the cylinders a quarter turn off from each other to help prevent stalling

Everyone, this engine is no longer with us because of the poor running and trying everyone's recommendations and helping with better performance so this engine is now being turned onto something that will be better performing and maybe one the quietest engine I ever built but im sorry and wait for the new one!!!

I think the reason for the poor running and not self starting is the bricks at the rod side, on the valve block, are preventing the pistons from pulling in air freely on the up stroke. Hope that makes sense.

@@craysentippets3123 a flywheel is separate from the wheels, it’s heavier to keep the momentum going

I'm not an engineer, but I think this setup needs a flywheel.

That's what the tires are on the sides I'm still working on that part

Instead of blocking the air with the 2x6 bricks make it 1 stud high so it lets air into the cylinder increasing speed and torque. Then I think the pistons should be 180 degrees so it's smoother and more torque
