Tiana's Bayou Adventure has officially opened and I'm taking you along to see how getting on this ride works as well as sharing some of the BIG updates coming to Disney Genie+. I'm explaining exactly how the NEW Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass Service will work as well as how it may affect your upcoming trip. And of course we HAVE to try some of the new eats to celebrate the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure with the Hot Honey Chicken and Tiana's Famous Beignets!

Immediately noticed resellers when you showed the merch line walking in. I wish Disney would get more strict with that lol. Congrats on getting on the ride opening day! Heard a lot of breakdowns keep happening so getting on is an accomplishment. Cute vid!

Ugh! I am absolutely with you there! Resellers are the absolute WORST! I do think the breakdowns have been happening less and less so that’s a good thing! 😁

Always a great day when at MK. The honey chicken and sweet potato fries look good. I love anything sweet potato! That stinks the beignets were dry…. No bueno!! I love the ones at Port Orleans. Thank you for the very detailed explanation of how the new system will work. I’m sure little kinks here and there will get worked out in time, BUT I feel it’s going to work better than the current set up. We may try it out the weekend of the 27th as we will be on property for that weekend. Great vlog as always!! 👍🏻👍🏻

I think it’s so neat that they pump smells into the queue! Water to the eyeball is the pits lol 😂. Too bad the beignets were not so good but the chicken looked pretty tasty. All the merch looks really cute. I love those earrings too. We get our grands for their summer break in a few days and have a resort stay booked for All Star Movies one weekend they are here. We definitely plan on purchasing the new system. We actually check in on the 24th. Any word yet on how Standby Skipper will work? Our time with the grands is short this trip because they have to be back in NC for school sooner than past years. Wanted to include Standby Skipper but may have to wait until future trips since it’s so new. Oooo the thunder was rolling in for sure! 😊

That’s a great question! As of right now, it looks like we have to wait for the new system to actually launch before Skipper can get in there to see what the new software looks like. BUT if there are any updates, we’ll be sure to share!

Interested to try the new system! I do miss FP+ a TON. Great vid! And it was HOT that day! 🥵 Totally missed the chocolate smell! Guess I gotta go ride it again!

I think the change will definitely be great for the Fastpass fans! I’m just impressed we survived the heat that day lol I couldn’t tell if the wet was from the ride or from sweat 😅😅🥵

My only issue is the starting point. They should go 14 days out or keep Genie plus until the seven days from the 24th runs out because I arrive on 26 July and I am not going to have an advantage and so many people are going to be booking on the 24th.

It’s hard to say how exactly they will handle it! BUT the nice thing is that no one really has an advantage over anyone in that aspect since everyone will be in the same situation. BUT if your trip is the 26th, then at least you will still get a few days ahead! They might be able to have it available to those guests early, but it’s hard to know until closer to time. I’ll definitely be sure to update once we know more!! 😁

My issue is that this apparently only works for those in the US. We are coming in September and won’t be able to book until we are in US and VPNs don’t work either 👎🏻 Great explanation of lightning lanes though so thanks for that!

I totally feel your pain! I really hope that more info will come out on how they plan on helping our international friends! My tip is to try and plan some non-Lightning lane days for the beginning of your trip (like animal kingdom or even water park/resort days) and save those Lightning lane heavy days (Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios) towards the end so that when you arrive you can still hopefully grab some good pre-selections!
