New Line Productions, Inc., doing business as New Line Cinema, is an American film and television production studio owned by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD). Since 2008, it has been operating as a unit of Warner Bros. Pictures.
It was founded in 1967 by Robert Shaye as an independent film distribution company; later becoming a film studio after acquired by Turner Broadcasting System in 1994; Turner later merged with Time Warner (later known as WarnerMedia from 2018 to 2022, and Warner Bros. Discovery since 2022) in 1996, and New Line was merged with Warner Bros. Pictures in 2008. The studio has been nicknamed "The House that Freddy Built" due to the success of the Nightmare on Elm Street film series. However, their most successful property was their film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien with considerable commercial success and numerous Academy Awards.

New Line has given us some fun/great movies like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Nightmare on Elm Street series, Elf, Mortal Kombat (1995), Spawn (1997), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1&2, and Jason X.

20:46-20:57 I’m glad they brought the 1987 logo back. 22:01-22:08 anyway, it’s good to have the standalone logo back, since 2011. But, that doesn’t mean it’s a independent company anymore because, they’re owned by Warner bros pictures.

This is amazing. I saw that New Line Cinema’s new logo made its debut in “Turtles All The Day Down” (May 2nd, 2024) and it’s an amazing logo. What’s your opinion on the new logo?

I really like this remake of the 1994 logo, but the Warner bros discovery byline needs a dark white letters, since it was a little faded under the word marks.

The only film that did use the fanfare was If I Stay for the 2011 logos but none in the 2021 logos. The 2024 logo fanfare might debut in The Watchers.

I love the 1994 logo, the 1987 logo and even the 2024 logo way better than the Warner Bros. / New Line Cinema logo transition ones which I was never a fan of in my opinion I don’t really care for it

The byline on the 1994 New Line Cinema logo should have changed to “A Time Warner Entertainment Company” instead of “A Time Warner Company” in 1997. Films with the new 2024 opening logo should sometimes use a closing inanimate version and other times an in-credit logo on the end credits.
