For Slot to win things, it's beating two teams domestically, Man City w/Pep + $$ (powers) and Arsenal w/Arteta + their change in approach when spending $$. Reminder: Slot will still be working under a budget (that's top 7 on avg. in the premier league if not 10) just as Klopp did but will be expected to do better. It's all good for Edwards to filter down players with potential on his laptop that fit the club's budget, it's a whole new ball game coaching those players to hit their required heights like Klopp did (a hit rate that needs to be in the high 90s percentile). The last time a Dutch club won the CL was in 1995 (which means beating the likes of Real/PSG/Munich). Slots turn to turn us from doubters to believers. Time will tell.

Was very sceptical initially but on further inspection, Arne Slot seems to have the coaching and the personality and aura needed to be a successful Liverpool manager. I’m fully excited to seeing him manage our club next season

He is very good friends with Pepijn Lijnders, speaks regularly with Pep Guardiola who already expressed how much he respects Slot 2 years ago.

Liverpool is lucky tough most of the reds don't seem to understand it. And don't compare the Slot machine with ETH - and if you do you should compare budgets first. Ajax also tried to get him but Feyenoord outplayed - you can see the effects ever since

dont quickly blame FSG for any appointments of staffs/players etc… in a football club, it’s the sporting director n his team that makes the picking on who is good for theh club, and usually in a long term.. ppl forget sometimes that, owners are just owners, they hired someone to run the club from the pitch to the office levels..

Seems like an excellent choice after Alonso ruled himself out. I think his profile matches up well with the club and owner ethos and a better fit than the likes of De Zerbi.

9 points off PSV this season - that’s kind of what Liverpool are - almost winners. So he would fit in nicely. Especially with this current crop of players. TH was top of the table when he went to United and he has struggled in the PL. PL is a different beast. Nothing to be excited about.

You got upset when we lost in the FA cup, when we lost in the Europa league and when we lost our recent league games to put us out of league contention. Why are you getting upset if it’s not about winning cups. Don’t begrudge city because they have money. They have the best players and the best manager and that’s why they win. And that’s why I want a manager that can compete with Guardiola and arteta and likes. I don’t want a manager that plays good football and maybe wins a cup. Results do matter and I’m saying this guy is probably going to be out of his depth in this league. This guy was second best to TH in the league and we see how TH has struggled to adapt to the toughest league in the world. I think it will be a step too far for him. I’m happy to be proved wrong.

May I advice Liverpool to buy the next Virgil v Dijk if they do decide to take Slot in the name of Van de Ven from the Spurs. Those two together would be a perfect start for a new era.

The new manager cannot do any worse than Brendan (i love myself) Rogers or the worse manager ever..Roy Hodgson.. each European coach we have had has won silverware.. let's get behind Arne, look forward to him being at Anfield. @@TerribleEnglish A first eleven can carry two players having bad performances and the whole team can get by. Eight outfield players can carry the load of two who aren't performing. Eight of the outfield players on wednesday didn't do it. A shame the Klopp years are ending on a sour note, though it is now especially imperative that the new man begins breaking up the squad.

An obvious question here is......Why the fuck did the mancs go for Ten Bob when all the time Arne was waiting for a big break? Great isn't it...they are going to shit fire-alarms if Arne comes in and hits the ground running while Dutch Ten Bob is still kacking the bed trying to assure us that the bearded bed-wetter is Captain material in a failing side.
