New load setup Lee Load all 2

In this video I set up the lee load all 2 with a new load from start to finish. I don't use the lee bushing data, but the data I created on my own from interpolated information using other loading manuals. I did a video on my interpolated data that you can watch if you are curious about that. Hope this helps someone setup their load all 2 and gives them an idea of start to finish how to setup their press. Just remember that shotgun loads are MAXIMUM loads, and so you absolutely must be at or UNDER them. NEVER OVER.

Thank you for walking me through the process of reloading a shotgun shell. My father-in-law had bought me two lee reloader‘s and I have yet to use them because I was not sure how to start. Therefore, I thank you for walking me through this video and I will start reloading this week on shotgun shells.

Wow..thanks. I just made a mess with my new Lee Load All. Now I know how to do this. Powder residue on the plastic. Wipe the inside with a dryer sheet and when its unused just leave a sheet in the empty part to stop the static. Works like a charm.

I drilled a hole in the top cover and used a glued velcro strap as a holder and dump the powder and shot 1 at a time

First of all great video. I just recently purchased a Lee load All in 20 gauge...just getting into shot shell reloading. My question is have you ever used Herco in you loader? Is it pretty common for that loader to be close to 2 grains short on the powder drop in respect to the powder bushing table using Herco? The charge table provided says to use a .105 for a 15.3 grain charge, ran it through the process several times verifying with digital scale. Ended up at a .122 bushing to achieve 15 3 grains. Just curious if youve had any experience with that powder. Again great videos. Thanks!

I have never used herco, but in general I find the lee bushings throw at least a hair low for every powder. I don't mind a hair low, but two grains is excessive. But I haven't found a powder that throws that low before.

Maybe a dumb question from someone looking to buy one of these. I guess you have an idea of how many shells you want to reload in a given sesson why not just load the amount of powder and shot needed?

You would have to weigh both out and it would require some math. Could be done, but I find it much easier to just fill both hoppers. Just a convenience thing, that's all.

I haven't. Lead only. It can be done, but the shot bushings will all be off.

Can these reloaders reload lets say #2 shot instead of 8 shot?

I have used it for #9 up through #4. 4 and 5 shot tend to bind a little- that is to say that the bigger shot doesn't cut off cleanly when you go to cycle the red slider in the center. I haven't used shot that big, so I can't say for sure. I think it will, but there will be some binding and you will have to wiggle the center slider a bit

several suppliers here in the US, my favorite is ballistic products incorporated. Not sure if they ship internationally. They have a huge selection of wads and more shotgun load data than any other source I have found. They sell several manuals including for fiber wads, brass hulls, etc. Cost can be from 10 dollars for 250 wads up to over 25 dollars for 250. Some wads are sold in 100 packs, not 250. I hope this helps.

I haven't, only real black powder. Black powder and substitutes don't do well with plastic hulls. I have a video for loading blackpowder in brass hulls.
