@@keepsauce WOW! That's harsh... nearly 90 Euro for us European. Plus the batteries. Using exchangeable batteries is can be practical when using it on portable devices but 90 bucks for this!

This looks pretty nice. I've had a Logitech Powerplay mat for many years now with my g502. I absolutely love never having to charge my mouse or worry about plugging anything in. Its honestly what has kept me from going to any other company (Have tried so many mice over the past year or so). Its just too good and I wish more companies did it.

I think this make perfect sense as a G305 update. The G305 was sort of a work/gaming mouse and I think it'll hit its stride once it get a price drop. The G305 got extremely popular after it got a price drop and people started to release mods for it.

Yea i use it all the time, as i work from home and game alot too. Its a perfect mouse for the hybrid life. Not sure how much quality improvement would this be tho, and at the price mentioned 🤔🤔

Isn't tech just kinda dying because people don't have that much money for it anymore, they've already got good products or it's all kinda same old same old? I wouldn't be too concerned, personally, but it is a good opportunity to expand and find things you find super interesting too. If you love it, there are people out there who will love it too!

I like that it has bluetooth, but thats about it lol. Was hoping this would be the new g603, loved that mouse. This reminds me of the g705, and you're right that they seem to be targeting work/play hybrid use cases. I think the powerplay thing is so stupid, and the price was inflated just by adding it. The powerplay mousepad isn't even available in a lot of countries, including Canada, because the charging specs are not approved.

hey Techne i dont know if u would read this but can you do a mouse review of RAKK Tanaw, im planning to switch to it but theres only a few reviewers of it. Id also like to hear your opinion about it. im using a Logitech Superlight and my problem with it is just the mouse scroll goes the opposite way on your first roll and its been bugging me.

Steer clear of the Tanaw. Try something from Zaopin instead of RAKK.

Is this a hot take? - Razer DA v3 Hyperspeed is not called the "DA mini" because it's basically an ergo GPX, which is not a "mini" mouse, instead it should've been the normal size DA as the current DA v3 pro should be called the DA V3 pro "Large" (or whatever, you get the point)

Does anyone else wish Logitech would release a “gaming” version of the mx master 3a? Keep the essential shape but add 2.4ghz with at least 2k polling, make it lighter, and increase the size of the side buttons. Can remove the side scroll wheel to keep weight down. I honestly think it would bang

Thanks for the review! I have my razer Orochi mouse which I bought at a discount and I would not pay 80$ for this kind of mouse. Either it should be better or it has to be cheaper.

even some other Options exist like mchose g3 or zaopin z1 pro , the Zaopin has insane coating and performance for the money.

It is better, it uses optical switches and has an optional power Matt where you never have to worry about killing any batteries.

@@BrotherO4 I meant better than it already is. 80€ for that no charge option and the imbalance when you use it with battery, when there are cheaper option of similar quality. At best, it is a niche product for people who have or will buy the mat together with the mouse.

@@Shivartin the point of not wanting a built in batteries is so you can avoid plan obsolescence. The majority of these mouses always have in balance issue that you fix with using aaa. That is what you use for 305/OV2. So this is no difference compare to those 2. Unlike those 2 you have a third option of no batteries at all. So as someone who uses both of those options this is upgrade over them. Plus if 80 is too much give it time and it be on a discount like the other 2. Remember the razor OV2 was 70$ at launch not the heavy discounted price today.

I really love the design of the mouse and I think it could be really good for the price and my small hands personally. So I ordered it together with a Powerplay Mousepad, so I never have to charge my mouse again while having the benefit of the lighter weight. I am not aspiring to be a pro gamer anymore so I do not really mind the downsides. PS: I had a G703 before and overall I am really happy with Logitech. Only battery life wasnt good on that mouse.

Of course this comes out as soon as I bought a Fantech Aria 😌 Even with AAA this only drops to like 70-75 grams which is still a hefty boii. Don't know why Logitech changed the G305 shape but if the Aria is anything to go by, this shape will be hit or miss. I could get one and compare it to the G305 and Aria since I still have both, but I just hope it feels as nicer to the hands compared to the Aria which my fingers and hand do not agree on.

Personally I want my mouse to have replaceable batteries. Built in batteries is one of the way companies do plan obsolescence. Being able to replace it is great. Then being able to use a power Matt and never using a battery is a huge plus. The mouse also having a top middle extra button is a huge plus. I use that for my mic button. Most of the new mouse charges you 150$ and remove all extra features.

IMHO logi fumbled the bag on g309 This could have been a power play mouse bundle for 120 bucks and it's logi chance of making a new extended power play mouse pad 900x400 style If they done that would have been a great innovation for wireless mouse going super light + no charging + big power play mouse pad Ps: you can still use current powerplay pad under your big mouse pad but still a 120 bundle would have made the g309 a unique offering

Really disappointed in Logitech, the Coating can be fixed with sanding it down, did the same to orochiv2 or prime wireless , was to slippery with the rough surface.

Logitech is a dumpster fire. At least the products that ive bought, gpx2 and pro x2 headset are ok and you can buy many aftermarket parts for them. Otherwise I would have gone with some niche

Yeah no, thanks, just another nitpicking youtubers making a minor thing to be a huge downside. You know the reason they offer the G305 and now this G309 is that these will never have an internal lithium-ion battery that doesn't hold a charge anymore because you can always go to the convenience store next-door and buy a new AA battery if need be, also instead of.Lasting a couple weeks on one charge one of these can last 6 months or more on a single AA if you're not using the maximum refresh speed and not using all day long. It's a matter of priorities, most people really don't care about the weight balance total weight of their mice including for gaming doesn't matter if 10 people disagree with me here, there's 100 others that don't care for each one of you. Also who cares if the mouse flexes when you press hard on it? Makes not difference.

Exactly! I couldn't agree more with your point. These KZfaqrs often blow minor issues way out of proportion. The G309, just like the G305, is designed with practicality in mind. The fact that you can easily replace the AA battery from any convenience store is a huge plus. And the battery life? Lasting up to 6 months on a single AA is impressive compared to the hassle of recharging every few weeks. Most gamers and regular users aren't overly concerned about the weight balance or minor flexing. As you said, for every person nitpicking about these details, there are countless others who simply appreciate a reliable, long-lasting mouse. It's all about what you prioritize, and for many, the G309 fits the bill perfectly.

I'm honestly disappointed with Logitech with this mouse, they're stubborn as always because they know that the average person is still gonna buy it because of the brand. Just release a g304 superlight or a G703 superlight and it's all good. Always love the quality of your vids Techne!

Just a thought or an idea for some more content why not try a hidden gem video once a week. We've all seen brands of headset on amazon that no-one as ever heard of. How about reviewing those as there's loads on there and you could give it a yes or no if its a hidden gem. I for sure would tune in for it

Now and again you find that one that makes you go "damn how is this not being bought by more people it's great". You will have content for the next 50 years amazon is flooded with them and your headset reviews are the best 👌

I don't fully understand the dislike for this mouse. Yes, the price is a pain point, but otherwise, it seems like a decent option in terms of clicks, build quality, and performance, especially if you're looking for a mouse with a replaceable battery. As for the weight, I personally don't mind because the shape is much more important, and I feel like people complain way too much about weight nowadays.

I agree, weight is an over hyped trend, right along with polling rate. But the weight is so off balanced here, it’s make it feel wonky. The worst part is you can get so much better for 10-20$ more, that’s the biggest issue

Now just to be clear I never have and never do jump on bandwagons, this mouse is a big time miss, and I could not recommend it to my viewers, there are so many better options for just $10 more. The new Logitech designers are not as good as the old ones (G203, G502, MX518). The coating, buttons, and shape are all worse than before, Logitech is now a mediocre company.
