Memorize that title by rote Rebecca!! I'm glad that matte is back tho it has never left in my opinion. I like a true matte base and then add any color or sparkle!! I haven't worn a powder foundation since my 20's though 🥴

This would be the powder foundation to try. It’s so beautiful. I agree with you. I really want it to be matte or natural so that I could choose what to add on top. The matte or neutral canvas is really the way to go. Wait until you see my review of the new Tarte tomorrow. Not Matte. That’s all I am going to say. For now.

Love love love ❤ this review. You're genuine love of this product radiated so beautifully. I went out and bought it yesterday after trying it in Sephora. I was more so just after an oily tzone touch up powder over my Estee Lauder double wear foundation👍 it blended so well over top and made my foundation look even more polished. 💖 Yay 🎉

OK that’s freaking beautiful! Perfect without looking overdone, I’m in love. I love me a powder foundation and I’m so happy that greasy dewy oily sweaty pore enhancing era is going away, I HATED it. I’m intrigued you have something foundation-ish from Tarte. Tread lightly my friend - you know their Maracuja tinted hydrator is my lifetime HG LOL. 😅

OK, I'm sold, Rebecca. I really liked the MUFE powder foundation that came out s few years ago. I've used their liquid foundations as well (Face and Body, Reboot, and Stick Foundation). While I loved the formulas, the shades were off for me and oxidized. I noticed that these shades have new names and numbers, so I'm hoping there will be a match for me and they aren't the same old colors as they always were. I prefer a touchable, matte finish even though my skin doesn't get very oily anymore. I also hope this one behaves over wrinkles and won't make me look like Death Valley. It looks beautiful on you, Rebecca, so silky smooth.

Another reviewer said something odd- that the Y color was actually less yellow than the N colors (at least in the 220s. Of course that made me crazy sbd I have to make a choice

I think what’s frustrating people is that the shades are so different than any other MUFE foundations. The undertone has slowly been changing in their liquid foundations, too, tho. I know it’s incredibly frustrating.

I love this powder foundation. I hate to admit that I currently have 3 of these 🤦🏼♀️. One is the older version and 2 are the brand new one. I just like to have it for touch ups but I have used it alone over super shiny sunscreen. (It’s really good for the summer ). I always keep one in the center console of my car because it’s perfect for a touch ups. Also, make up forever sells extra sponges but it’s much cheaper just to buy them on Amazon. I also hate looking at a dirty looking sponge in my compact. Thanks for this review. Make Up Forever should sponsor you :)

As I recall, MUFE had a powder foundation out years ago that was way too matte and dry for me, even though my skin had a tendency to be oily back then. I didn't buy it after testing it. The blurring one from maybe four (?) years ago was nice. I hope the new one is more like that one than the first one I tried.

Hello Amy! Yes. I very much liked the original. I don’t even have the original with me anymore and it was too long ago for it to be able to be seen as a really good comparison in this video. But. I do remember very much liking it and, if memory serves, I would say I actually like this one maybe even better.

Wow, these foundations are coming in thick and fast 😳 this did look lovely on your skin, Rebecca. I'd love to try it, but I'm stuffing with dry skin under my eyes, and on the top of my cheekbones, it's driving me crazy, think I'll have to strip back my skincare and find out what's causing it 🤔

Debbie Debbie Debbie Debbie. You are my skin twin right now! The high points of my cheeks are red and dry. I think it’s from my retinol. It’s almost like a retinol burn or something. It’s so uncomfortable and looks horrible with no make up covering it but is uncomfortable under make up

@@debbieotoole1072 I agree. It’s about either taking away every product and adding them in one at a time after everything is healed or taking them away one at a time. I think it’s retinol. I think sometimes I put it on more heavily than others or maybe sometimes I put it on and the next day the sun hits more?

I find it to be very blurring indeed and because it’s a powder it blurs on top of the foundation properties. I think it will be a really good choice for you

Lyndsey! When applied with a fluffy brush, you would definitely get a much lighter dusting. So I think it would work over medium to full foundation and applied with a fluffy brush. The fluffier the better.

I'm parking here until I get my Tarte review 😁 I like to see "classic" brands like Make Up Forever get more attention again. They have good products. I'm missing Smashbox too. Let's be honest... Lots of boring brands or drugstore have great quality products and are unfairly underrated. I have enough brands in my stash to compare and see how similar a lot of it is. Make Up Revolution has multiple non sticky hydrating, one swipe opaque colour gloss formulas that feel exactly like high end brand ones and the ingredients are basically the same too...could it be because they use the same labs 😉🤣

I was going to run the Tarte review today. But I thought maybe this one people would be more interested in and would have seen the Tarte already? I don’t know so I decided to go with this one first. Maybe not the best idea? Don’t know. I think I will run Tarte tomorrow and wait till you see my thoughts. It’s a little more controversial than this one.

No primer. I try not to when it’s a first impression so that it doesn’t have any effect either way. But a primer would absolutely work as long as it soaks in first 💕

This is my favorite high coverage foundation powder or liquid and this is my favorite powder foundation. Since I don’t generally want high coverage foundation, it is not my favorite overall foundation. Does any of that help?

I like the convenience of applying powder foundation without having dispense with my hand. BUT not sure of matte formula for my mature 55yo combo oily skin. I think it will exaggerate my fine lines /crowns feet and settle in my pores as my oils come thru . Hope its not like the heavy powder foundations of the 80s

I was actually kinda worried they messed with the formula.. I’m glad this is just as good. The original was my HOLY GRAIL of powder foundations and I’m telling you… I tried them all. And nothing was like MUFE powder. I just hate the wonky shades now. What shade were you in the previous formulation?? I was y315 and matching it online is 2n26.. but it looks so ORANGE🥲 This looks so good on you! A soft matte blurred effect!!

Brianna! Darn it. It was ages ago when I had the original. I can’t remember my shade for the life of me. You’re so correct that it seems an awkward slide from corner shade to new formula. If you “start over” so to speak and choose a new shade is it far from the one they recommend based on your older shade?

Kind of? When I try to color match with “shade finder” it gives me options that are waaay out of my range. I think that tool is somewhat busted anyways. I’ll probably guesstimate my two closest colors and just return whatever doesn’t fit me.
