So funny, my husband calls me a troll, because I love dark homes. He also calls our room my cave, because I keep it super dark and moody (and it’s my favorite place in the world). For some reason, light and bright is just not my thing. On a different note, thank you so much for using your voice and platform to call attention to the fight for women’s reproductive rights. This week has been extremely tough on my mental health.

Same! In our last apartment, we painted our bedroom walls a deep teal and it was glorious. I LOVE this house, it just doesn't fit the "beauty youtube" aesthetic. In our own home, I'll probably have a nice balance between a slightly lighter background with natural light, and a very cozy vibe. Thanks for the support, I'm with you. Barely hanging in there.

They have a problem with you filming in the bathroom, because the toilet makes them uncomfortable? WTF? Aren't there bigger things in the world right now to worry about? Thank you for speaking up - we know this is a beauty channel - but when the entire world changes for the main audience you address, I applaud you for speaking up and not quiet to keep all your viewers. You have a lifelong subscriber in me! And on a lighter note - omg, someone is bothered by a toilet enough to comment? LOL, I had to laugh. But seriously, if you want your great lighting, just put a planter, a side chair, a side table or anything that just blocks that corner while you record. I really enjoyed this video - thumbs up!

Love Mario’s Skin Enchancer too! Have you tried his Perfector already? For me it’s same, where you film, I will watch anyways 😘 But still have to say, I kind of like your dark mysterious, yet cozy backround, because of your lighting is still perfection! IDK how you do it, but products still show so well on your beautiful face.

Oh yeah, it’s SO sheer and lightweight, it looks amazing with no foundation because it’s so skin like. Most days I skip foundation!

I’m extremely fair like lightest color in any foundation fair but prefer contour bronze shades not orange bronze shades, do you still think the second shade of the Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt would be the best option for me?

Hard for me to say because I haven’t seen the shade light in person. I only heard from friends that it’s very warm. I’d imagine might medium will work for you because it’s so sheer, but it will likely still be too warm if you like contour shades

How would you compare the Wander Beauty Double Booked and the Em cosmetics lip cushions?

Suuuuuper different. Em Cosmetics is more thick and cushiony. Wander Beauty is much more thin and lightweight.

@@JaimieAppleton I'll go swatch them on my stories right now! It may not be the Saie is darker, hard to tell, but SO much more pigmented and more orange. Saie might be a little bit darker too, but ultimately so much more pigmented and warm.

How does the laura mercier highlighter compare to the highlighter from phytosurgence?

Totally different! Phytosurgence is a powdery balm, Laura Mercier is a baked powder. I'd say they both provide the same kind of skin-like glow with no visible shimmer particles, so it just depends what kind of formula you want. But the Phytosurgence does come in a lot of shades

I don't get it, the lighting is great where you are, and and the dark, moodiness of the background is cozy and charming. I do admit I prefer it to the bathroom. I also love the other places you film. :)
