I just bought the electric Mason jar vacuum sealer the VP 05 is fabulous I am single and I buy up so much dry food now I can preserve it and eat it in a month or 2 from now I also went and bought Mason jars to go with this now the point to this is unscrew it and it would fit the half gallon jars. And it comes with a few extra lids for your Mason jars but this does work I will highly grab one you can vacuum pack your cereal any of your dry stuff. So this fits small jars and gallon jars you can buy.

What a great sealer. I got one for my jars, but it involves getting my larger vacuum sealer down to hook it up to. This seems so much better and I bet it is great for freeze dried items that people store in jars. I'm going to get this one and hope my freese drier gets paid off soon. Thanks for the info!

yes mine has the attachment and all that. but it’s bigger. this is so small. I like that it doesn’t take up counter space when I’m sealing dry food. I love it

Thanks for the video. I have a half gallon jar that "looks" like your half gallon jars but the sealer doesn't seem to create any type of seal on it. It could be that the only half gallon jar I have is on 'off' brand. Can you tell me the brand names of your half gallon jars? The only marking on my jar (bottom) is AOC and A64.

90% of my jars are Ball or Kerr I have some very old jars but I mainly use the Ball or Kerr jars. I haven’t had any issues with mine might need to call Customer Service and see about changing out your machine for another one.

Thanks. My sealer is exactly like yours. I think I"m going to find a Ball or Kerr 64 oz jar instead and try that.

Scrolling thru YT and found this review. Of course I purchased this a few days ago before watching any reviews. I can’t get the darn thing apart! Help! Tried the small sealer and that works fine. I can’t get it apart to try the large mouth! Any suggestions?

Hi friend🤗 mine has a lock and unlock symbol on it. I just have to twist it to the unlock and it will come apart. Hope this helps. wish I could send a picture of it

Help! it took me almost 2 hours to seal 12 jars because almost every time I removed the sealer, it pooped off the lid. It was sealing because I heard the air coming out and the pitch of the machine got higher near 40 second mark. I used Ball mason jars so no off brand. I tried mason lids and lids that came with machine but same result. I didn't overfill. I wiped off threads with clean cloth. I tried removing sealer slow, quick, straight, at an angle, twisting and nothing worked. Rubber seal was not twisted. What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you’re doing everything right. You might want to have them send you a new one.

Good video. This isn't canning. It's vacuum pkg...very different. Pro tip, don't mess with regular mouth jars. Too finicky.

Yes Canning is very different for sure. All day thing with canning. This sealer is ok. I’d rather use my vacuum sealer attachment for sealing jars. But if you only need to seal jars this is ok. The only thing I didn’t like about this was no instructions for the machine.

So do you think I could play around with it and seal food in my refrigerator, like left overs? I just need them to last me me a little longer than normal. I hate wasting food. Thank you

So how do you decide how long to use it on each jar? I have one but don't know what to base how long to use it on each?

I went for a min then checked the seal on the jars. If the lids came off then I left it on longer but for the most part 1 min was enough time.

My question is can I use it for left overs in the fridge?I just need my left overs to last me longer in the fridge! 😉

I don’t think so. it’s mainly for dry foods I think. I’m not 100% sure on foods for the fridge

I would try it out just to see. I make Sofrito and put it in a mason jar 🫙 without sealing it, and it lasts me 3 times longer than if I put it in an old spaghetti sauce jar 🫙. So, I can imagine that sealing it would lay even longer.

how long does it take the recharge to full from 20%?

I’m not a 100% but it took me about 20 min. but not sure it was 100% charged

@@LadysFarm Thanks. Ball park number is what I was looking for. To see if it made sense to buy two. Use one until it needed recharging to switch out with another.

nice. honestly the vacuum sealer from Walmart has an attachment for the jars. it’s much better and doesn’t need recharging 🥰 I made a video of it check it out on my videos
