I like that he acknowledges the Droids talking amongst themselves by talking to them as well. Really makes the experience much more inclusive.

I built my lightsaber when I went to Disneyland for the first time last December and I'm planning to go back again this December. I was like "well at least I don't have to spend money on building a lightsaber since I already did it". I THOUGHT. 😂 I'm excited though honestly.

Thanks for the update Dan-O. I'm so envious about the new loot at Batuu. I really need to think about how to build my own versions of the baby Sarlaac and camtono. I'd happily pay $50 for the camtono. That may be one of the best deals at Batuu. The saber pommels look like they would be something that a Jedi in hiding might use to disguise his saber as some other kind of item. All of the focus goes from the emitter to the absurd pommel.

Great update! Wish I had known about the Star Wars Stories things at Celebration, I never went into the booth to make a recording. I did also get the Camtono, was going to skip but once the demoed it in action at the creature stall I could not resist. Like you said at that price it was a steal!

There were replica New Republic, Galactic Republic and Mandalorian credits in Dok Ondar's over this weekend. I didn't see Imperial credits but those might not have been in stock. Also, there was shoulder armor piece one for Galactic Republic and another for Galactic Empire mostly used for costumes.

Once again Dan, great info on the Savi's update. It was great meeting you at Star Wars Nite during the lightsaber meetup. I wish I had known about this before my trip. I did Savi's and got the Elemental but they told me that all sabers did not have all parts to choose from. So I had to select whatever they had. Had I know updates were coming I wouldn't have done it. But I do hope to get back there next year for May the 4th.

I'm planning on flying there from Hawaii in October. I hope they still have the current set before the new version drops.

Man that Camtono is pretty cool. I wish some of the park stuff was available internationally, or given a release with differences coz a flight from New Zealand to the states and then everything else so expensive and prohibitive at times. Admittedly now I think of it, an Endor Base built in New Zealand might be kinda cool... :P hahaha. Never gonna happen but cool idea. Have to say the pommels make me think of the Cane and saber combo of Master Sinube, it'd be so cool to see people make canes that hid their sabers with them... Or hidden in a desk with a spring loaded launcher.

The lightsaber revamp is excitng! I still haven't been able to go, and none of the current ones call to me the way I'd like. I'm looking forward to see what they come up with, I already like the power and control more. :) I just hope they don't discontinue the droid parts until I can get an orange r4 head. Haha. I think they could have the new parts for Savi's workshop without completely getting rid of the old parts. They could have "Savi's Scrap Shop" (or whatever name they would decide for it) which could just be a shack outside the original workshop that sells the old parts, while the new parts would be exclusive to Savi's workshop". If they have a new base hilt, they could also sell the old hits at the scrap shop. It would be a great compromise between people who want the new styles while keeping the old parts around.

I think it would be really cool if they sold never before seen lightsaber scrap parts. So like different sleeves, emitters and activation switches not just pommels so that you could actually personalise your Savi’s Workshop sabre more since it is supposed to be YOUR lightsaber and with only a small amount of different parts you can add to your lightsaber from one set (protection and defence e.g) there’s bound to be lots of people with identical sabres.

Really wish they’d introduce the orange and teal kybers. New blades would be needed but the cores are already set.

I bet the new savi sabers will tie into the upcoming Jedi sequil. Since Kal loses his saber there's now new story incentives to build a new one. Fallen order matched the current savi sabers, I bet the next one will match these new updates now...

I think those pommels would be better if there were other pieces that would match their colors and designs. In terms of the Wampa pommel, that one would look cool if there was a way to get it to light up. And I believe that the Power and Control set has a switch part that has a covertec wheel on it, at least that's what I see when I look at my lightsaber.

I think the sarlac piggy bank would look cool in a star wars diorama.. maybe a center piece or trophy for Jabbas palace.. 👍

Yeah, the "carved" pommels I like for display more than on the sabers themselves.

Hey Dan-O I just watched VR-Wolf play "Tales From The Galaxy's Edge" and the the red floating crystal, is a SITH ARTIFACT FROM BATUU!! Story: A Jedi and her padawon went to a temple on Batuu. There they found a power full sith artifact that killed the Master and started to drive the padawon mad. Until ... well, you'll just have to hear Sezlek tell it.

I saw they have a gafi stick pummel on etsy for the lightsabers. I'm debating on it. Those animal ones are neat in theory, but they're too big.

I was wondering what those pommel pieces were. When I first saw them at Galaxys Edge, I thought they were some sort of whistle with the opening vents on the pommel pieces. I even tried to blow on them to no avail 😂

If they change the chassis hopefully they make it thinner. I know they are made thick to house the blade and crystals but I’ve hear people on social media say that they liked the experience of building the saber but it wasn’t very comfortable to use.

In my opinion they should keep some pieces or make the pieces better because I like the rancour tooth

I’ve been waiting to go to Galaxy edge for a long time and I wanted to build a certain light sabre and now they’re taking away the pieces 😢

I was told the loth cat is meant to go on top when the blade isn’t in to protect the inside. When it’s on it makes a purr sound. I don’t think it’s meant to have in while fighting. I have an element saber too and it doesn’t fit mine the way it’s meant to.

I had a thought while watching this, with the new sabers they could do a battery pack in it like the darth sidious lightsaber. And to add on to the thought of neopixel I think the most for that they would add new colors but neopixel might be a reach

In Florida you can make savis reservations without a ticket. Do they not let you do that in California? Because then you could make reservations in a bunch of weekends and cancel them. New chasis is interesting, probably won't do neopix, but what if they added orange and teal crystals because that won't require any new hardware, just updated programming
