In this video, I explore my parents' DNA by examining my own genetic genealogy. Although both my mother and father passed away before genetic testing was available to the public, I was able to use a new feature on Ancestry.com which splits the estimates of a person's DNA to show each parent's contribution to their child's genetics. Using comparisons to close relatives, I was able to figure out with a good amount of certainty which parent contributed what part of my DNA. I submit this video discussion to you, the viewer, as an example of how you, too, can explore your DNA.
This video is a personal project of mine. I am not affiliated with Ancestry.com.
