I think it's doable. If Chris be can do it you guys can to! One thing I've noticed is that the editing hasn't been nailed down yet. Nail that down to an "elk shape" style of editing and you guys will be golden

I commented on your first video about NM and mismanagement in this unit. I also hate to say but that 4 wheeler situation happens here also there are super a-holes all over this state and the hunting tends to be more hating than helpful. Its also common for land owners to mark public land private and will literally fist fight over it even though they are wrong as it gets. Hunting has become about money more than ever and land owners and outfitters know this and will do whatever they can to be successful or keep an are for themselves.

what a shiddy experience for Jake. A holes gonna be A holes no matter where you are. The entitlement culture just needs to jump off a cliff. I just got my first bike back in the summer and it's been a blast learning to ride. my plans are for using it mostly for hunting since out here in oregon as you know, the roads are endless! lovin the content! cheers fellas!!

Dan, you've been a great "Sensei" for Jake...the "Grasshopper" Webb. 100k subs is a doable goal! Digging in and gaining traction day to day! Some people just have to live their lives like they think they're the only ones on this earth and own ALL the public land, Jake. Karma will catch up to those vandals. You rubbed it off nicely. Appreciate you showing the actions of these ranch security we had ranch personnel pull guns on us had to be 35 years ago on a deer hunt with a similar situation a good strip of public between ranch and they were threatening to put bullet holes in my older brothers truck we left but I always remember that day like it was yesterday and we’re New Mexico residents And as a Stroke of irony about 15 years later the ranch employee who was being the most threatening didn’t remember our faces as well as we remembered him probably because that was common behavior but there he was sitting in my older brothers dental chair with emergency extraction necessary we’ll my big bro gave him the gentle treatment he would give one of his family . How Lucky is this guy my brother had a good forgiving heart The Damn guy thinks he has claim on all the big Mule deer in Northern New Mexico this crap happened when I was 15 and I’m now in my 50s but I’m glad you can show this in the days of social media because it’s not cool harassing legal hunters

Jake I’m sorry there are people in the elk woods that would do shit like that! I had a LE archery elk tag in UT this year and the list of stuff I saw is extensive……littering, trespassing, outfitters posting public land as private, 4-wheelers off trail, had a tire slashed parked at end of open road, and my wall tent was spray painted with “go home non ressy!” It took me 11 years to draw that tag, and although successful on a great bull, it was far from a great experience! Met some amazing dudes in the woods so not everyone was a JA. Keep it up guys and enjoying watching.

Awesome seeing different Elk country. Not sure why there are "hunters" out there that not only step on others hunts but go as far as trying to destroy others property? NOT what I would classify as a real hunter or outdoorsman! What part of Hunter camaraderie and respect doesn't make sense to some people? Seems pretty friggin obvious to me. If a person beats me to a spot then they earned the spot and I should've got there earlier. If I were to find someone else's stuff out there, I would do my best to get it back to the owner. Never never would I disrespect another hunter in ANY way.In fact, it's exciting to see other "brothers and sisters" being successful out in the mountains! Dan said it best on a video a long long time ago - something like " in no way will another person's (your) success hinder my own success"! The point is, work hard, harder than the next guy, hunt smart, and SHARE the beautiful outdoors with other like minded people. This will lead to success. If somebody beats u to a spot, let them have it, don't get pissed at them or try to foul up their hunt. Get your lazy ass up earlier next time! Public means EVERYONE has the PRIVILEGE (NOT RIGHT) to spend time upon the ground! We as true Hunters should be willing to share with other like minded outdoors folks! Anyway, I truly appreciate Dans hard work, his focus, his positivity, and his optimism! He inspires many (including me) to get better at archery and to stay open minded about the sport. Lastly, huge respect to the POSITIVITY that Elk Shape promotes! The Elk Shape team deserves to be at 100k subscribers ASAP. I will continue to share it with everyone I know. This would be the ONLY KZfaq channel I'd be willing to go out of my way to share with everyone. Reason is that Dan and Tim and Jake promote ethical hunting but also try to lead by example, showing and sharing true Morals that can make better people! Much respect to the Elk Shape team. I have been so excited to watch the New Mexico portion of the public land hustle after listening to all the podcasts! I'm obviously here to see the elk hunting, but these dick heads that think they own public land need to get what's coming to them! If this all went down as was described in the podcasts, and I have no doubt that it did, you did exactly what I would have done and absolutely the right thing! Keep up the fight Dan! Love it!!

Well said about that unit at the end of the video they should shut that unit down but it will still only benefit the ranches if they did this…. And game and fish won’t change anything about it because they still give Elk tags to the private lands and keep making money from it but they wont do anything to improve the public land…. In this unit you should see the Marquez Wildlife Management area it’s just as bad as where you guys are at or worse…. It use to be a good unit until Floyd Lee ranch destroyed it by flying helicopters…. Just go back and look at the harvest reports for private land vs public…

Well, doesn’t look like your NM hunt is off to a great start. As a resident here I can attest to the mismanagement. If you think this is bad take a look at our deer herd. As far as the vandalism, unfortunately, that can be pretty par for the course(that’s for Tim.) NM is NOT a welcoming State and as far as the landowner issues go, that’s another very typical scenario. Game and Fish, BLM, Forest Service and State Land Office are all very well aware of these issues and nothing EVER gets done about it.

Yes also unit9 has been over-hunted the game and fish open up high-power elk hunting cow several years ago, and annihilated most of the herd. That was dude has a fleur-de-lis Ranch whining and crying that the awkward destroying their fence

I don't understand people destroying another hunters property like they did with the bike. Those guys need to be caught and have a good ol' fashioned a** whoopin' put on them. Then they need to have all their hunting privileges suspended.

My thought: that should not be allowed: period. Too easy to game the system, next thing you know odds of drawing a tag will go to infinitely small and your only chance is to purchase one on Craigslist, oh wait, maybe that explains our current reality

Idiots probably thought it was the clutch lever they broke... That or they tried to steal it and dumped it . . . . . I'm a leg for an eye type of guy - You break my clutch lever on my dirt bike & I'll have your trans and transfer case ripped out of your truck laying at the bottom of the canyon while you sleep.....
