I grew up in New Mills in the 1960s and 70s. I loved the granite stone hardiness of the place and the wild countryside and rushing water (that gave rise to the Mills) everywhere. Wuthering Heights all around. Its really not like Derbyshire at all. Its really culturally Lancashire (where the workers came from)…. A great place with a special architectural history.

Come on Gaz. Sort the proposal out. Your subscribers have spoken! Looks a stunning area does that. Shame the alpaca wasn’t remotely interested 😆 Sitting on a bench with a beer is perfectly acceptable. A bottle of vodka isn’t though 🤣

It is not a beautiful place, you have not been ollersett literally worse place on planet other than marple. I live here and want to leave every day. Do you have a coat hanger so I can key a car and escape
