Now do 40 more cuts
@robertmeyer4744
That saw is great ! love how you cut upwards ! After a storm with lots of trees down you will be cutting all ways and angels . The best part I like is how quit they are . great for them 2AM storms !!

I'm a big fan of electric saws, I have an off grid property and figured I'd start with electric and go gas if I feel I really need gas, but so far I've been fine with electric. I have a small Ryobi 18v one that I don't use that much anymore, and a 80v Greenworks which gets the most use now. I can buck logs all day for firewood, and swap batteries and keep going while others are on charger. I get tired before I run out of batteries. The batteries work in all my other tools too like the lawnmower, leaf blower, snow blower etc. The electric stuff has come a long way since nicad batteries and brushed motors.

Chainsaw contest: "It got no gas in it".

Looks like you're having a good time. The weather that day cooperated. That hasn't been the case much this spring. Thanks for the video.

Run it against a stihl ms 462 or a husqvarna 572xp. At least with those you can run a 32 inch bar without having to worry about over heating the batteries. I cut trees for a living and can see where the milwaukee has a place, but here on the west coast we need long bars for our trees.
@zorrito74
There truely are a lot of „tools“ at this pipeline events. Like people who wear a hard hat for cutting cookies. And those who will intentionally mess up starting a gas saw. An those who compare themselves to blunted chains. Always fun to watch such sharp „tools“ in action.
@nickgamble4544
Isn't even gas in the dam saw. See I hate it when they do promos like this. Ita like okay I get it that battery saw is never goina compared to a big boy gas power saw. But I'm sure plenty of people would love a simple light saw like this. So show how close it gets to the gas powered. Then go over uses like normal people would be using it for. Clearing random brush off a fence line of shooting paths for the tree stand etc
@lucidmoses
You can't hear the Gas engine bog down on the electric saw..... Go figure. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't bog down. It just doesn't make the same noise when it does. If they did the engineering right you shouldn't hear it till after half the battery is gone.
@Am4zonlovers
Put that against a 372xp husqvana 🤣
@MRO-Management
A Super quiet chainsaw, neighbors will not complain when you chop down trees in the morning.
@Mechaneer
This drastically outperforms the single battery Milwaukee electric chainsaws some of the crews have at my yard. We love the Milwaukee electric jackhammer, but generally prefer a gas-powered Stihl to Milwaukee's previous chainsaws. This product may change that. 🙂
@connorparkin
That Lawn Dude spotted on the milwaukee saw. that's pretty cool that two of the people I'm subscribed to crossed paths.
@dang48
Pretty cool! The slices off the logs would make neat tops for side tables or even stools.
@charliesullivan4304
Thr lower noise is going to be a big benefit when you are on a crew that needs to coordinate.
@islipfdchief
If your in to the M18 battery system this chainsaw will work well, rich home owners and work crews. Tree service and pro loggers not the market. If you think the gas saw is loud, just wait for the chipper to start.
@rayraap3905
Hey Aaron, are you still considering doing that solar at your home video?

I've watched a few arborists dabbling with the electric saws over the years. The industry is continuing to advance. Milwaukee in particular seems to actively solicit feed back then engineers to it. It is a very different work experience when they are opening up a new tree to fell with an electric saw. So quiet. Better communication. I'm sure residents don't even know what is occurring until they pull out the big guns to take the tree down.
@aperson9495
The saw is pretty impressive, and in a case like yours where you need different tools at different times, and would prefer to not have 10 different battery systems, I can see where this is beneficial - Something to keep in mind - I haven't been able to find much in the way of details, but I ASSUME it's putting the batteries in series for 36v. Assuming that's the case, you'd want to make sure both batteries are fully charged before being inserted. But this is really a niche tool. In my experience with Stihl battery powered tools, they seem to be quite superior. But then that means another battery system. It's a balancing act. Honestly, for the kind of cutting you tend to do, this saw would probably be awesome. But this cutting 18" logs like they were doing is not something you'd typically do with such a saw. Completely unrealistic for that saws truly intended use case. If you're talking about an arborist that's chopping up a felled tree, this simply won't work unless they have a truckload of batteries to swap out every 20 or so cuts.
