I think the issue is that Miniverse is starting to lack in quality control. They are skimping the resin or putting uneven amount. When a product gets super viral overnight and the demand gets high. They start to skimp that.

There have been A LOT of new releases in just the past couple of weeks. Maybe they were trying to take advantage of the Christmas season so rushed production?

@@DivaDiorama possible or try to "milk in the money". I saw that Mini Brands will be releasing similar concept partnering with MasterChef and will have a chef hat that emits UV rays included in the pack. Also it's crazy expensive!

I'm impressed that these machines don't require batteries!!! That really cuts down the expense and hassle of getting batteries for every single machine!! I can't wait to see these in Wal-Mart in Canada.

These are so super cute. I can't wait for my store to get some. Sadly, resin with color will not cure all the way, unless it's in a clear cup or something. If light can't get to it, it won't cure. So yeah, sadly, it has to be cured in very thin layers when it's more opaque, because light can't penetrate it. Love using the slime to make them reusable. That's a great idea.

Thank you for your comment! Yes! I was hoping that the resin was translucent enough for the UV light to go straight down into the cup, but apparently not! Lesson learned: when using opaque dinnerware, must cure in layers! I still love the cups, and do not regret that they are not transparent-probably because I do have my slime technique as a backup!

@@DivaDiorama Oh, I completely agree.. I was hoping the same thing. Sadly, I had this very same issue with the cocoa cups, so even in the clear ones I guess it still needs a little help.. heh I learned my lesson too. I would never have known if my niece hadn't jammed her finger all the way through the top and made the resin ooze out. That was terrifying. A 2 year old and toxic resin are never a good idea. I mean, I knew it wouldn't work for an opaque cup, but thought because it was clear the light would get through. Nope.

@@Shari_A._ Oh no! You must've been a bit frantic as this resin doesn't clean up very easily! What happened to your niece is exactly why I'm hyper vigilant about curing the resin! 😳

YES! The little label dispenser is pretty darn cute!!! I do think, however, that if they had JUST made it a wee bit taller, that maybe the label could've cleared the top of the cup to make getting it onto the cup THAT much easier/automated! Not sure that makes any sense...

I found u just place the resin in the machine. I see ur pushing is down into the machine.. I think ur causing an air lock or something similar on the bottle. I just placed mine in mine without pressing down on the bottle n it worked perfect

Yes, this is what I was thinking, because I couldn't see anything else that might be stopping it from working. Others I've seen they just drop it in and it works fine, no pressing. Hopefully, that was the issue.

You might be right! Did you see how the residual espresso in the reservoir finally started to come out once I removed the bottle? They say in their “Read First” not to pour the resin in the reservoir, but I guess there still needs to be a space between the bottle and the bottom of the reservoir so that the resin can pour out of the bottle and into the reservoir and then out the hole. If so, I wish their instructions said not to push the bottle all the way in.

@@DivaDiorama yes. I really think that was the issue. I just tried my other one n after I heated up the resin in warm water n dropped it in it flowed great. They really do need to make it clear cause I guarantee ur not the only one who feels it should almost snap down into place. But that really was my first thought when I seen u press it down then once u took it out it released the pressure n flowed out what was left. Give it a try n see if that works. :)

@@DivaDiorama Oh good.. I really hope that's all it was. I'd hate for some to work and some not, because I would definitely get the ones that don't.. It just needs that little bit of air to help it out, I think. Funny thing. My coffee tumbler, in real life, has that little tiny hole in the lid, and sometimes I don't notice it has water in it and I go to take a drink of coffee and it just doesn't come out right. So I have to take the lid off and blow the water out of that hole. 😅 It's dumb, but yeah.. just needs that little bit of air.. haha

Thank you for your kind comment! 💜 I would wipe up as much of the resin as possible with paper towels or tissue, and then go back in with an alcohol wipe to get the remaining residual. The directions also suggest curing any leftover bits in the sun and then picking the hard pieces out.

Thanks for the demo. I would make a little insert for the coffee mug using acetate. I was going to use the press and seal like you demonstrated so I’m glad you showed that it was a fail so we don’t do the same. Thank you. PS. I like to preserve my items too and not just use it once.

Yes! The press-n-seal is a great tool to help preserve those dishes! I really do like having the option of being able to display dishes on their own or change what's on them at will. I think it makes a lot of sense especially for doll play or more dynamic mini displays!

I had one got wrecked order of et sy not doing it again next time off somewhere else came couldn't close the whipped cream and espresso was empty and it was meant to come with liquid I cleaned it then the next time it got stuck and glued with resein

The resin came out of the soda machine quite readily, but yes, it does take quite a while to cure afterwards, and it can be hard to wait! LOL!

I was wondering if you used a little of the resin and filled in the small holes in the container and cured it, could you then reuse it? I have never worked with resin before and I am a very amateur crafter, but put a string through the holes on one side of the capsule and cover the capsule somehow in whatever media you want and make them into ornaments, These are really cute.

Yes, filling the holes in that manner would probably work, but it WOULD be an extra step. As for the ornaments, check out my shorts! I've actually pretty much done just that. Great minds! 😄

Actually, I've recently noticed that my MiM oven has actually NOT been working to cure the resin which is why I've been using my much larger, manicure/salon UV lamp off-camera which works super well. It's a bummer that my oven doesn't seem to work, but the kitchen still works really well as a cute display/storage piece, so I'm glad to have it.

I'm so sorry! I did not think to weigh the capsules for any of these Appliances since the wrapping on the capsules shows which machine is inside. I imagine that the pink and blue espresso machines would weigh the same anyway? 🤷‍♀️

I got the cart from Target a while back from that area at the very front of the store--I believe it's called "Bullseye's Playground?" They often have some fun mini-ish finds! Although this cart IS a bit too big for the MiM kitchen...

Just my thoughts on what might have happened. Heating the bottle on the coffee warmer might have hardened it a bit so it won't pour out. Because sun or a heat source hardens the resin, your resin has probably hardened in the bottle. It is a really cute design, and I will buy one but not use the resin. Fun doll stuff.

Heat doesn't cure the uv resin, the uv light does. I heat every single bottle of resin and its never cured or gotten hardened. But it does let off fumes as it heats up.

Good to know because I know that the kitchen set has an oven that cures the different food items. I guess the oven has a uv light. I am surprised that they sell these to children knowing they can give off fumes. I know the grand daughter wanted one for Christmas but she didn't get any. What age group are these made for?

Course it doesn't flow right through, resin is way more viscose than water. The minis are great, the concept in theory is fun, the physics was not throughout through.

You're not meant to warm it up that's why it didn't work Warming it up like the liquid dry

Actually, warming up the resin for use in these machines worked quite well for me, but yes, people may not like the way it works for them.

You need to prep your resin before putting it in the machine by warming it up. This make it runnier and able to flow out of the machine.

Yes! This is the purpose of me using the mug warmer in my video: it gently warms the resin to make it easier to pour.

Hmmm…I might not have been doing something right, but I don’t think it’s because I took the machine apart. After all, I did pull apart the soda machine beforehand and it worked really well? If these machines are so finicky, I wish Miniverse would have included more detailed instructions in the manual.
