It is absolutely disrespectful how NRS went about this game. All they worry about is the 20 - 30 professional player and not the tens of thousands of fans. And a year later the game is still incomplete with modes that cannot be selected. They even tried to "fix" the game with PAID characters. Just sad as a Midway era fan. What's even worse is that Ed boon is in charge, if the creator himself doesn't care, who will?

I didn't even know Kameos affected your base health. This game is like it's changing features found in other fighting games in an ineffective attempt to do something different.

Lets be honest, the KAMEO system is a failure. Terrible idea from a studio weak in terms of balanced fighting game. Every MK or Injustice is unbalanced.

It's crazy to me that I choose SF over MK today. As a GEN X'r I literally grew up w/ both SF and MK. At a time when they were both setting the world on fire too. I always leaned MK. Not anymore. _NRS_ is the dumpster fire you should be talking about...

To be honest it just isn’t fun to watch. We talked trash about MK11 but it was way better as an overall game. The cameo system is gimmicky. Most MK players want a classic 1v1. We mainly wanted them to improve the combo system from 11 and make all the variations into one variation. It feels like I’m watchin Injustice rather than a MK game. It’s not a balanced game, all characters should be on level playing field. 11 was in motion for 5 yrs, ppl took breaks and would comeback on it, just like MKX

I knew mk was all downhill when 11 came out, they had slow, stiff movements, bright superhero colors like injustice the game looked and for the longest was called injustice 11 they even took inj long cinematic cutscenes Mk should be dark, dirty and grimey looking

Actually, making Shadow Kick - on wiff and Block will help immensely. If Johnny has at least 1 weakness that will help this games meta. Let me give you all an example on how to do a nerf right. KILLER INSTINCT. Season 2 of the game gave the main Balanced character JAGO a Health recovery mode. Whenever he lands a Fire ball he recovers health. People hated that and wanted it nerfed. Sometime later he got a Nerf. Not to his Health buff, but his Wind kick ( basically Shadow kick ) was made - on whiff and block. Players hated that at 1st. But after some time those same players realised they stopped complaining about him. They wer like, "Wait I can actually fight this character?" So in conclusion The K.i devs realised that the main problem was JAGO had no bad match ups. By giving him a weakness that made the JAGO player think a little more helped immensely. To quote the DEVS. "Treat the disease. Not the Symptoms."

You know, I didn’t want to get on the conspiracy train but I honestly think they buffed Cyrax back to day 1 before Final Kombat specifically for Sonicfox. They saw that he won the first major with the Cyrax kameo and since he’s NRS’s poster-boy, they thought they’d make sure he’d win again. Ironically, he didn’t touch Cyrax for Final Kombat. Give me one good reason, besides this, that they’d buff him, not include the buff in the patch notes and then the NEXT day nerf him back. This, by the way, was all after Sonic posted on Twitter how he’d leave MK after Cyrax was nerfed.

I just can't with this game man. Almost a year in and they still don't even know what the fanbase wants. Season 1 (I know it wasn't perfect) had a good thing going with a lot of broken stuff but since then it's just nerf after nerf. Lowering health is such a lazy nerf too. Elden ring DLC is here, think I might just say bye to the 130 GB MK1 (INSANE for a fighting game) until they listen to the fans. This game had so much promise but legit is one of the worst if not the worst triple A games management wise and communication wise I've ever seen

Unfortunately this game fundamentally isn't suitable for a tag game. Stuff like faster movement (which this game is faster than MK11 but not as fast as 9 or X (which is what it should be if it wants to be a tag game)), most the cast (outside of Johnny) having slower attack speeds, and ultimately not having mechanics that other assist base games have to make dealing with the assist better isn't in here. As long as that is still the issue, the balancing won't get any better.

The fact of the matter is, no dev worth their salt wants to work at toxic NRS, so they are forced to hire fresh out of school developers with zero experience in fighting games who must learn on the job and its showing in the product itself. And the worst part is Ed Boon likes it this way.

They should have just carried on with mkx the variation system was fine. The game was faster gameplay wise and way more smoother for combos. Mk1 has just been such a mess

One of the devs said to do one change they have to confirm it with multiple upper management to apply that change, which slows down the process significantly. Their development structure is outdated and convoluted , which is sadly the case for most tech companies. They should really try to make a experimental pipeline and let one dev that knows about balance , change willy nilly. And this experimental mode should be available to players, so based on community feedback they can do a permanent change. If they are too afraid to do it. But i guess they don't care about this game anymore

buff ideas, spread the word Havoc: He needs at least five new attack strings, he needs his legacy move that titan havoc has were he takes off his head and rolls it but its a mid, has the same affect as reptiles acid ball, and also hits mid exploding on contact. he also needs another one of his legacy moves that again titan havoc has where he bends his hole body for a low projectile and the amp of that can be a knock down allowing for combo extentions for cameos like scorpion Sub-zero: he needs his attack strings made slightly faster except for his overhead, he also needs 1or 2 new attack string launchers, both his regular and amp iceball needs to be faster to not only be able to combo with it off of normal attack strings but in juggle combos too. He should have the ability to throw his ice clone, i also think he should have his ice burst special back with the same proporties as mkx to compliment his ice clone(but just does not send you that far away). lastly he needs some of his damage scailing off ground freeze. Scorpion: should be buffed by making his amp ground tp a launcher again and make the cancel built in to both his regular and amp tp. he needs new strings some mix ups(i personally want his mkx overhead back). some moves need to be sped up Quan shi: needs his mind control move from mkx back, and make half his attack strings faster. and finally his low tentacle needs to be one bar Raiden: change raiden's b2 back to the mkx launcher but make it as slow as sub'z b2. give him back his vicinity blast move back with the same properties as mkx. he also needs to be buffed by making his amp electrocute special launch no matter how many bars he uses liu kang: for starters nerf his f4 one button pressure but give him his 113 mkx launcher back along with maybe one or two more new attack strings. make his low fireball slightly faster, change his air fireball to the mkx fireball and the amp the one we have now. give him back his mk 11 dragon parry, and finally make his fatal blow start up 2 hits but the first one restands y'all stay tune i got more heat for every character

khameleon isn't the problem, it's every other kameo being basically worthless bc you can only use them once or maybe twice a round

i'm proud to say, and for my own sanity, i didn't buy this bullshit. reviews exists so we can make an inform decision. hopefully, the reviewer is being honest. and that's all i ask. and when describing the game play of i game i have not played, it will or will not spark my interest in a game. MK 11 was my breaking point with NRS. i vowed to never buy another game from the studio because of how shit the game was and how NRS either the developers or their community managers, initially attacked customer/fans for criticisms about the game. unfortunately i had pre-ordered the game and did like the beta, then when the actual game released, it was different in some aspects from the beta. but i tried to like it, i tried to find why i was not having fun with MK 11. i tried to force myself to like MK 11. when reality hit that MK 11 was shit, i said, i'm done. MK 1's Kameo system sounds like straight ass! so shout out to the real ones being honest about this game. you helped me save my damn money.

*NB:* Lighting a dumpster fire in a dump, is like drizzle to a drowning man. "Tweaks" to a game that is fundamentally, gravely, and irrevocably flawed, are trifles light as flatulence. The only "fix" for the abomination that is Mortal Kombat "1", is to abandon it like a ꭑꭒtt baby and move on to something else... Ideally, to selling off the I. P. to another publisher and/or developer, resting the franchise for a decade, and making either a DC x Marvel or horror movie fighting game (or both). Failing this, MK is dead as a brand; while, NRS, like many other developers under the ailing WB's auspice, will probably get disbanded ("re-structured").

Man, I miss back when like, MK9 was coming out and I got hyped for a trailer and then it dropped and it was fun as hell and there ya go, what an era it was
