Just installed mine the other day into 23 Tundra Platinum. A couple of issues I’ve come across. Do you have to go into your phone each time you turn on your truck to enable Wi-Fi? I’m using my phone’s hotspot because I couldn’t find the module’s hotspot to connect to from the phone. Are you able to display text messages? Not sure why I’m having issues. Would be nice if this thing came with instructions. Thanks and love the videos!

Can I use FaceTime with either of these solutions? In other words, does this solution make it so FaceTime *video* works while on CarPlay and show both my picture and the picture of the person I’m FaceTiming with?

how does this unit act with your 360 cameras? i know with my binize sometimes when the truck tries to switch to a camera view whether that's backing up or below 10mph that screen just goes black and fails to open the camera and swaps back to the box.

I haven’t had that problem at all with this CarLinkIt, but that only happened a couple times with my Binize as well…it was really random, not sure what causes it…but hasn’t happened once since switching boxes

Yes sir, you need to connect it to Wi-Fi somehow… Whether it's a hotspot on your phone or if you purchase the Wi-Fi plan through your vehicle which is what I do, it needs a connection for things like KZfaq to work… And yeah it will play audio through Bluetooth connection from your phone as well, hope that helps!

Yepper, it works with our Tundras!…as long as you have a model year that has CarPlay already…the device I show in this video will give ya all the extra stuff like Netflix/KZfaq TV/etc

Yes sir, unfortunately that’s the wrong one if you’re looking for all these features…that 5.0 is the module that just turns “wired CarPlay” into wireless…you want to purchase the TBox Plus in order to get all these features, hope that helps!

Went ahead and risked it, we’ll see if it works in the 23 tundra pro… I was on the fence between a binize or a ottocast and this video made me completely change course and pull the trigger on the carlinkit

Tried this and the Binize. Can't get android auto to work with both. Also in Netflix when you search you can't select the results. What am i doing wrong. Also the instruction manuals for both are exactly the same.

That's weird, something isn't right for sure… I would try doing a factory reset, android auto should definitely work… I also don't have any issues with Netflix, the kids love it and the search option works perfectly… Let me know if the factory reset works!

Mine finally arrived - didn't come with an SD Card or SIM Card - do I need to purchase that separately? (Haven't had time to plug it in and get it up/running, yet - so might not need anythign additional).
