The possibilities are wide, but their expectations are high! I know they get very picky with colors, but this model will be around for a long time. so they should have plenty of colors and variations thoughout it's life. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful watch. I have owned an Orient Ray for almost 8yrs now, looking for my next diver upgrade. Tough choice as there are so many good options. The finishing on these Monta looks great

I had actually asked for that point to be removed lol it would nick the closest link on my Noble. So glad they took that off! Great looking watch and bracelet. I have aqua Noble and Gen 1 Skyquest gilt. Love the brand! 👏👏they could show Grand Seiko a thing or 2 about bracelets! 🔥🔥🔥

I'm a big fan of Monta. I have the anthracite Noble and it is really well made. The dial and finishing is super sharp. Love the thinness of the case and taper on the bracelet. I definitely don't need another diver but this is a great option for the price.

The Noble is incredible. I know they are going to put some more out with that model, so I'm looking forward to more variations! It's easily my favorite, but this Oceanking is a close 2nd. Thanks for watching!

Great review I'm a huge Monta fan as well but I agree with one of the comments below the dial looks really deep and it make it look like the bezel might be a little off. Still a great looking watch I really hope to review one on my channel soon!

Idk how many times I watched your review on the skyquest! Tbh these look much better in person than in pictures and on video. In pictures the bezel insert looks thick and the watch overall looks kinda big. But on wrist the proportions are perfect. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I really do like Monta watches; the quality is definitely there, along with it being a U.S.A. brand and the connection to Everest. However, I just can't unsee the similarities to a brand that I'll keep nameless. I think Monta kind of lost its design ethos with the Oceanking MK3. In my personal opinion, I think I'll just save up for an Omega Planet Ocean 39.5mm instead. In doing so, I'll have a distinctly unique watch that, too, is superbly made and that checks all my boxes. Lastly, since I know it'll probably be commented, yes, I know the Omega is 2x as expensive, again; however, to me, if all I have to do is remove the logo off a watches dial to bring question into its design choice, then, I think a design flaw is present.

@@marcusedcofficial I think Monta has sadly created a lot of unintended confusion for themselves with their most recent releases. For example, if you put the newest Oceanking next to a 50th-anniversary Sea Dweller and asked a handful of strangers to view the two for five seconds and then recall what they saw I think we both know what they’d say. This confusion is further multiplied by the fact that Monta has designed its watches to be compatible with their sister company, Everest, which was solely created for Rolex watches and sold as a Monta accessory. All of this only leads you to think that Monta is trying to get would-be Rolex buyers to buy a Monta instead because there's hardly a difference between the two, and the Monta’s 5x less. All in all, their marketing ploy seems a bit off. Having said that, it seems they have found their targeted audience, given your video. Lastly, watch collecting is a silly hobby, but I'll be happiest with saving a little bit for an Omega Planet Ocean.

Thanks for the review - I have been waiting for a while for such a review! I jave few questions as I cannot check the watch in person as I live in Switzerland. 1. I have a 6.5 inch wrist - is the size convenient for you? I am on the fence if it will not be a touch bigger than I would prefer 2. Is it too heavy? 3. How accurate is it? Now, I am searching for a diver/true gmt that can be my daily driver and that could be dressed up. So far I am considering this watch, Formex baby reef 39.5mm, Tudor black bay 54, Longines spirit Zulu time 39mm. This Monta oceanking has quite a few positives - the looks, the ceramic bezel, the bracelet but I still have the questions I asked. Thank you 🙂

The main wrist model for Monta on their website and IG is a 6.5" wrist. They make watches that fit most wrists, but bigger guys usually complain they are too small so you should be good man. Im about 6.5-6.75" it fits great. It's got some weight to it but i wouldnt say its heavy by any means. They advertise the movements as +-5sec/day but any Monta owner can vouch for them being well within that. Honestly the only watches id consider above this one are above its price point in Tudor or Longines. Good luck with your choice man it seems from the options you gave yourself you cant go wrong! @@marcusedcofficial thanks for the reply 🙂 With regards to divers the oceanking and the tudor black bay 54 are my top choices. The monta has a date and the ceramic bezel and just everything about it is great. The tudor is my dream diver for my wrist - I like everything about how it fits - perfect length with slim profike and 20mm lug width. In addition the tudor's movement is great. Also, tudor is not so shiny. And it is more expensive. It lacks a date and the unscratchable bezel for me. I also feel the tudor's look and size would allow to dress it up a bit more than the oceanking. The Longines is a whole other thing... All in all seems the tudor is the one but it depends on on other things too, like my budget and my final watch collection. I am seriously considering having the black bay 54 as my only mechanical daily watch plus also I keep my gshock and add an casio oceanus S7000 (there is a brand new white one) for travel and just a chronograph and that's it. However, it is quite some time now that I am trying to make my mind so let's see 🙂 In any case, this new monta is really great! Enjoy it 🙂

@Vess_Iossifov absolutely! Black Bay 54 would be my choice over Longines. Vintage design and size prortions. Ultimately chose the Monta for a few reasons. The 54 is about $1,500 more than the Monta. Monta being in my backyard i tried them both at an AD that carries Monta and Tudor. Right next to the black bay 54 its a toss up and pretty much up to personal preference. A lot of people will pick the tudor for the movement and brand recognition alone. Monta has won me over and I decided to support the brand as I really want them to succeed and expand their brand. Plus i have a cooler story to tell about a watch brand based in st louis making high quality entry level luxury watches. Its a good conversation starter.

I've considered an oceanking many times, because I am always impressed with Monta. I decided to get two Tudor divers instead, because I want to hold on buying Monta. I want to see them continue to grow as a company and refine their products.

I kinda like the sound on the tudor. But the feel i think was better on the monta i had both side by side. I don't have any hands-on experience with a sub to let ya know, but there are plenty of people that own both Monta and Rolex that can vouch for Montas quality. It's hard to beat Rolex, and Monta doesn't. But Monta definitely punches above their weight class into that Longines territory. The real two watches that I thought about over this were Tudor BB54 and Longines Hydroconquest. Ultimately, Monta has a special place in my heart and I got my bracelet sized by the owner over a glass of scotch. Cant get that with the big brands

A GMT watch is difrent then a diver, in my opinion function have priority in choosing a watch.

Absolutely! I basically came to the conclusion that I would use the time bezel more than the GMT function. I would use it to track AZ or NY time for the most part, which are only an hour or two ahead or behind my time in STL. So, in this case, I chose versatility over the gmt function. I still want a GMT, but at this rate, it would likely be my 4th watch as my 3rd will be a dedicated dress watch, and 4th will be a complication. At least that's what i think now😂

Now i know why Tudor pelagos 39 didn't add the date window, i thought it would look better i was wrong .By just looking at the monta, the Tudor dial looks more clean, and the 39 sunburst bezel insert looks better. It separates it from the submariner. I do like the monta king and that noble, but would i buy it over Tudor offerings

Comparing Monta to brands and watches twice it's pric, is only right. The pelagos 39 is a great watch, and I think a better comparison to the Oceanking than the Submariner. However, if I was going for a Tudor diver, it would likely be the Black Bay 54. I'm looking forward to more colors coming out. Thanks for watching!

It's funny because there's so many videos and articles out there about rolex alternatives. Many look scary close to Rolex. But only when certain brands do it is it called a clone. They're not doing what the clone/homage brands are doing. In my opinion, they are offering a high-quality alternative. Thanks for watching!
