Wow, Akai were reading my mind on what was needed next in terms of the missing synth and also getting old school sampling flavour, these two sound sweet! The arp LFO patterns are a nice touch on the D.

Well, I finally got everything running on my Live 2 and desktop software. Had to go through the MPC firmware updater, then activated and downloaded the plugins in standalone... Key 61, on the other hand, updated easily via Wi-Fi.

Listen …. they are really makin us use their BOX only. Love these plugins. The second joint reminds me of RC-20.

So I installed/Activated the mini d plugin on my MPC One yesterday.... Immediately after fiddling around with it for about two hours.... WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I have owned and used moog Subsequent 37 in the past, by comparison this plugin comes to a superb modeling synth quality, and HAUNTINGLY close to the real thing!! plus 4 voice AND effects! and atleast to my ears (especially after tweaking some knobs) comes fantastically close to the actual synth!!... Given the alternative, this thing at $79.95 or even $99.95 is a STEAL!..recommend to anyone out there debating getting it, go right ahead! DON'T even THINK about not getting this as a plugin for the BARGAIN it really is!!! . AWESOME JOB!...Moog/Akai, whoever collaborated on this!...😱 THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! God Bless you all! Lol... 🙏👍👏👏👏

Just love the Flavour Pro so much, easily my go to plugin, then i have to say i really love Mini Moog on my tracks so its nice to have it ready and available in standalone, otherwise i probably will mostly use my Arturia Lab plugin.

Yo Ave! Love your content. Whats your way to combine the mpc software and standalone. If i start a project in standalone and dock it to the software to grab ex Omnisphere and bounce it to a sample i cant save the project to go back to standalone. Are you combine the standalone back and forward with the software? Any workflow tips about that? Best regards!

These prices are way more reasonable than the batch included with the Key 61. But I think I can live without these. Mini D doesn't sound close to the analog rumble coming out of a Behringer Model D. Flavor Pro does seem cool, but MPC already has a lot of good low-fi tweakables. I hope we haven't seen the last of free plugin additions to the family. Akai should release the SDK so we can develop our own.

Flavor pro is so sick. Subtractive synth with a matrix module and I have no reason to go back to Well Back to Reason now.

I can see a Akai pretty soon coming with version of Komplete if they keep moving in this direction. The Mini D is competing with Monark

did anyone else had the problem, that you cant activate the plugin on the mpc one? i cant figure out why... i followed all the steps from akai . when i trie to activate, i get the message : couldnt validate license from the server (license status 8)

A house note or less for a Moog-style synth. Making it really hard for me to decide if I want to buy actual hardware or get this.

Akai is regularly all BAM NEW HOTNESS lately while NI gives Maschine Plus users a warmed over 20 year old Komplete synth (Poly Synth is Pro-53 iirc). lol. NI is basically a sound/sample company at this point, and they just killed off Absynth, too. Maybe they'll drag it out of the archives for the Maschine Plus 2 in 10 years XD Thanks for sharing! And I'm not necessarily hating on NI for the sake of it, I use a Maschine Plus and sold my MPCs. Akai deserves the accolades they are getting with the recent updates. Flavor Pro is great.

When it comes to synths, everything sounds the same. Like i dont see much the difference from having opx, hype, solina and fabric. If you have those, i have not found anything extra the mini d is offering. Am i wrong?

They need to bring out some acoustic plugins sounds like guitars et cetera. Where are the real instruments sounds at! We need this. Will be pleased if they do this

I'm REALLY hoping that akai address the automation. I produce Dub, and obviously it's effect intensive. The automation doesn't make sense, like for example, q-links stop recording when the channel is muted which means echoing out an instrument and muting it means the send q-link doesn't then record the effect being turned down. Also automating effect parameters only works for inserts, not the send channels which is also very restricting. Being able to adjust stuff on the fly, and recording that is hugely important.

Man I still can’t figure out why pc software still on 11.2.3 and won’t update, but my mpc one will update and running 11.2.6 🤷‍♂️. But my usb drive almost full without any of the new plugins just about I tried the fabric stuff but cpu went though the roof so it sounded bad. And model d would be cool for bass,leads etc but same issue high cpu but Hype seems to run lower cpu. But I need the damn Air Flavor pro that’s a must, kinda what I wish it was in the first place when they gave us air flavor but ok guess ya got me this time Akai $. Does anyone know how long this will be at sale price before it goes up cause 69$ is fair for a RC-20 to me built in ?

I am in no way trying to down or crap on Akai here, because I have an MPC One and I love it, and don't get me wrong, the sounds are really great and usable sounds that I appreciate, but it just doesn't sound like hardware stuff to me at all. There's just something missing to my ears that I can't explain. Hardware stuff just hits different than the sounds that come on the Akai plugins. I would be willing to pay extra money for these plugin synths if they sounded close to hardware stuff, but they just don't, and it's really disappointing because I would like to do everything on the MPC One, but this is why I hesitate to buy these. Am I the only one who thinks this, or actually hears some kind of resonance or dynamic difference in hardware compared to software? Software just doesn't give me that full blown inspiration that hardware does, but I still like software stuff very much. It's just a shame that they can't make it sound like hardware, because if so, I would get way more of their stuff. I will still use it regardless of this, but it would be nice if there was a way to get it sounding more like hardware gear, and charging more for it, but I guess that will never happen and I will have to use a synthesizer hardware workstation with the MPC One drum sounds in the coming years. RC 20 and Monark???? I don't know if Akai's versions of these plugins are as good. The only way to tell would be a very thorough side by side comparison. The BIGGEST draw for these two plugins is the ability to use them in the MPC in standalone mode. On another note, my favorite Model D plugin is "The Legend" by Synapse Audio.

Ngl, the mini D plugin sounds nicer than what came on my mpc, but they totally botched the modulation and feedback sections. The feedback makes the filter ring out harshly with barely any pushing, and in general seems to be pretty useless, overall. In addition, for some reason, the lfo can only go up to 50 hz, while the original moog can do full on audio rate modulation, with the third oscillator doubling as the lfo. That's where you get the vowel and vocal sounding moog sounds, by applying that lfo to a resonant filter. Essentially, this plugin sounds good in its base form, but gives zero access to the secret menu of moog tones. 7/10

I am sorry, but I think different: I am using the original Moog Model 500 Mini App AND the Dublin KORG Gadget 2 PlugIn on my iPad and it sounds way better and costs only 1/4 of the AKAI PlugIn. 79 Bucks for a NOT 100% adjustable Mini Moog emulation for the MPC is a 100% rip off ! And I AM an AKAI MPC One user ;-)
