NEW Nameless Axle Back Exhaust for the 2016 WRX

Let me start off by saying that this is not a How-To-Install Video! Partly because there are already plenty out there in KZfaq land but mainly because I am just about as mechanically handy as a pineapple.
I decided to pull the trigger on a Nameless Axle Back Exhaust after watching T-WRX's video. ( • 2016 Subaru WRX Namele... ) I was torn between a 5" and a 4" muffler. I chose the 4" because I was worried that the 5" might be too quiet or too close to stock and I was concerned the muffler deletes would just give cancer to my ears. Thankfully, T-WRX posted his install video of a 4" muffler and that pretty much sealed the deal for me. So i ended up with the 4" muffler with staggered 3" double walled tips.
My wife's dad is very handy with a wrench but I wanted to get my own hands dirty. He offered to help by lending his tools... and then realized who he is lending them to so he promptly changed his mind and decided to do the install himself. Of course, I offered to help. Somewhat. Marco, Mikey and Jackie stopped by to help and watch the hilarity of me actually doing something.
After the install, we take Marco's car and do a comparison test between the stock exhaust and the nameless performance. Hopefully this will help people decide if the 4" is for them. Lastly, links below!

Please in the future, exercise proper garage safety. Either put the whole car on jack stands, or at the very least use wheel chocks. People have died when their jack and jack stands only on one side failed, and the car crushed the person underneath the car.

... And the jack stands are under the rear LCA, a moving piece, instead of under a fixed hard point....

I installed the Nameless deletes on my WRX last week. They are not as loud as I thought. They are actually quiet and have no pops/backfires. Although, my WRX is less than two weeks old, less than 500 miles, and still breaking her in.

Auto Enthused I worried about being too loud too but after talking to people who have the deletes I bought them rather the the 4' mufflers. They were right so far. I haven't been above 4k RPMs yet.

Just put mine on yesterday. Muffler delete 3.5 inch single wall staggered. Sounds great!! Your's is also good to go.

Isn't it amazing how something so small can change so much. I just put on an ETS cbe last week and it seemed to wake the car up and made it a lot more fun to drive, as if it wasn't already. I'm not sure if the axle back sound improves over time like the cbe so yours might sound even better than this by now. Nice video

Tatay! Nice comparison with the stock. i was about to get 5" mufflers but those maybe too close to stock so i might stick with the 4". by the way i noticed your garage has an incline to it, does your wrx has a power lag when moving reverse into a slight incline? thanks!

Auto Enthused I already ordered the deletes ha. I've had loud cars. I said screw it and went with the deletes. A lot of people say it's loud but nothing crazy

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being really noticeable inside) I would say a 2. It's not completely quiet but it's not enough to annoy you. In the beginning I hardly even noticed it. I think wind/road noise in the cabin is still louder.

If i remember correctly, I paid around $500 for the axle backs. My monthly payments and insurance won't be relevant to you because they will vastly differ from person to person depending on down payment, APR and age.

If you actually get the full muffler delete you lose the the crazy power loss at 5200 rpm.

Hey Bryan! Honestly, I think the 4" muffler is perfect. Of course this is always subjective but I know that if it were any louder I would probably shave my ears off. It's loud enough for you to appreciate on a daily too. Nice! Just make sure you watch where you're going especially if you're following "Friends".

None under 65mph. Very little with speeds over that. The tire and wind noise are still way louder.

Thanks man! Only mod i have is that nameless axle back. Im very happy with it. The red pinstripe i got from amazon. Just search for automotive pin stripe. I went for the 1/8" size.
