This is my new holy grail foundation, I absolutely love it. I have oily/combo skin, and I've found most of my friends with dry skin have to actually work with this one, where for me it's just slap it on and it's beautiful and lasts all day.

Same! I have oily/combo skin and this is beautiful on. I love it and it doesn’t take much to make it work. I use Elf primer that’s a dupe for the milk one and then set with the hangover RX spray and it’s a my skin but better thing for me.

I also wear Mont Blanc. I am loving this foundation. I have dry skin between my brows, and around my mouth and nose, so I exfoliate between my brows, around my nose, and on my chin before use. I use Milk gripping primer, apply with a sponge, and very lightly set my T-zone with Charlotte Tilbury setting powder. I love how it feels like I'm not wearing anything at all. I'm 42, so it's super hard to find foundation that makes my pores and fine lines look good. I am liking this one. I definitely want to try the Dior you keep raving about.

If you like a HYDRATING oil and a glow! It’s great! I love it but you have to like low viscosity high pigment foundations. It is a niche foundation. I got my whinter and summer color so that means it’s real good.

I feel validated!! I had high hopes but It sort of sucked the life out of my 62 year old super dry skin. Might be better in the hot humid summer? But I’m Glad I just got a sample! LOVE the Chatlottes Beautiful Skin! And excited about the new Kosas…but the shades look tricky.

It’s funny, I had the exact opposite experience with this foundation. I have normal skin that leans dry particularly on my chin. This foundation sits like a dream on my skin and looks better at the end of the day. It can look cakey if too much product sits in one area, but I have no problem blending it out with my sponge. I was impressed from the first day with this foundation, and that never ever happens for me!

I can't quantify how much I love this foundation. I have been searching for a very fair shade with golden undertones forever, and this one (in Siberia) is my match. It looks so gorgeous and is such a pretty finish. There isn't any added fragrance and it sits well on my normal/dry skin.

Don’t let one person‘s opinion deter you from purchasing an item, just because it doesn’t work for one person doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. I suggest grabbing a sample pot ti try out. Because for me this foundation is fantastic!

I have dry mature skin, with the exception of my forehead, and I’m loving this foundation. Since it’s viscosity is thinner than the other NARS foundations it sits better on my skin. I haven’t tried the new CT foundation, but by history, the brands other foundations do not look good on me.

This was a weird one for me, it looked pretty good when I first put it on, especially from a distance, but about 30 minutes in, I looked in the mirror and was horrified, everything looked kind of cakey and weirdly dry. I used a few different moisturizers underneath it,, all with the same effect. I also use just the smallest amount because all I'm really looking to do is diminish some (not all) redness in my cheeks. For reference I'm 42, minimal lines, with normal/dry-ish skin and mild rosacia on my cheeks. It's a hard pass for me

Ugh just like every other NARS foundation it feels heavy in my smile lines and ages me 10 years from the weight of pulling down my skin - Sheerglow is the WORST. I’m 52 so I can’t afford to drag my face down more than it already is. Slid off with primer but accentuated pores without. Wanted to love.

I have normal to dry and sometimes sensitive skin. I am in the shade Mont Blanc. I have been using this foundation for about 2 weeks and I really like it. It seems to cancel out any redness I have. I normally go for much creamier and dewy foundations. This one is much thinner and more natural looking, and I have been enjoying it. I like the way my skin feels and how my complexion looks when I use this foundation. I have been trying so many foundations lately and I notice I keep grabbing for this one. The one thing I really don't like however, is the pump component is a bit messy. The product kind of leaks just a bit after each pump. Not a lot but enough that I have to clean it each time I use it. That shouldn't happen with a nearly $50 product.

I am so fortunate that you and I are foundation twins, in color and formula (I still have a drawer of CYO 101😉) So I love foundation Fridays! I have also been reaching for more matte foundations, with a small amount of a dewy foundation mixed in. The Shisheido foundation is the next on m list to buy!!❤️❤️ Happy Valentine's weekend!!❤️❤️

I have combo leaning oily skin and I've found this foundation gives me a slight dewy look but also looks skin like for me. Holds up fairly well with a mask on all day.

This is my fav foundation I may have ever tried! I wear Mont Blanc and I feel I can make it more matte using the Laura Mercier setting powder, and if I want it to stay nice and glowy I use the Nars light reflecting powder. I haven't had any problems with clinging, and my skin is normal to dry. ❤️

I have the shade Oslo. I have normal to oily skin depending on how my hormones are and I have large pores. (Spiro, tretinoin, lactic acid journey) I do four to five pumps with a sponge and use the elf mint primer underneath and have no issues. I was actually blown away by this foundation because it’s nothing that I would usually look for in a foundation. I bought the Dior foundation but I think .5 is more of a summer, I’m going to try it today. 😁

The Nars Light Reflecting is my new HOLY GRAIL. I have oily skin. I feels so lightweight, it doesn’t break me out, and it wears 9+ hours without looking greasy and feeling gross. It makes the skin literally look like model skin.

I have ultra dry skin and this foundation didn’t work for me at all. Broke apart on me and accentuated the dryness. Everybody raves about this and I thought I was the only one who disliked it. So glad to see it wasn’t just me.

I was so excited to try this foundation. I have oily skin. I also noticed it was hard to build. At the end of the day I noticed it was totally gone on my chin and just didn’t look great. I returned it! My L’Oréal serum foundation looks way better and lasts longer for me!

I had the literal exact same thoughts on this foundation, Taylor. I’m 40, dry skin, enlarged pores. This isn’t a bad foundation but I heard people rave about it, and it just didn’t live up to expectations for $50. At times I did look at my skin and think it looked nice but I mostly attribute that to the solid medium coverage and complete cancellation of redness and discoloration. In terms of minimizing pores and smoothing over dry patches, it just didn’t provide what I was looking for. And it manages to be shiny and yet not hydrating which is a No for me. The L’Oréal hyaluronic serum foundation has been my go to these days. Very flattering finish on texture and holds up well. Unfortunately it has a crappy shade range.

I agree, yukon is definately darker (and warmer) in the NARS soft matte. This new light reflecting foundation is my most perfect colour match ever... however, I prefer soft matte still. (Mont blanc too pale). At the moment, I'm mixing them both!

The first time I tried the new Nars foundation it was a hot mess. It broke up everywhere within a couple of hours. I now prime with a water-based primer (which is key), apply with fingers, and set with powder and it looks so smooth on my extremely textured skin. It also truly lasts all day. I don't like that I have to baby this foundation, but I'm glad that I could make it work and that it looks so nice because we can't return used makeup in Italy.

I'm really loving this foundation, love that it sits in the middle between glowy and matte. It works well with a revlon smoothing primer and I make sure I moisturise well before application. Also found it lasts well and doesn't transfer too much. I think foundation is so individual and feel that it has a nice radiance on my skin but not too glowy... my skin type is normal and I get some sensitivity. Like that it hasn't irritated my skin as I can be picky about ingredients xxx you look stunning Taylor xxx

The primer you used is silicone based and this is a water based foundation which works better with water based skincare or primer underneath. If you use silicone underneath, it can separate and just not sit as well on the skin. It can be a game changer if you tried it over water based products.

Was excited to see what you thought of this foundation! Seems like a lot of people are saying the same thing about it looking dry. Will stick to the Nars Sheer Glow for sure. Great video as always!❤

I have this foundation in Yukon. I like it, good color match, but if you sweat at all, it breaks down. I have not been able to get it to not be non-transferable. It look beautiful if you don’t touch it. I appreciate your reviews! I was excited to see this particular foundation to see if you experienced anything similar.

As someone with combo skin I felt the complete opposite with the CT foundation compared to this one. Loved this one way more. I felt like an oil slick with CT. I think it def has to do with skin type for sure!

Yeah it’s so interesting how different they work on different skin. The CT sets down on my dry skin (no tack at all in AUS summer) and looks like a natural/satin finish. But the Nars all look like lizards skin about to peel lol x

I suppose since it's "light reflecting" it would make sense it might have flashback. I'm really liking it so far. I get the light bouncing off my skin/dewy look while still feeling set down. Just not great for photography perhaps.

So I bought this when it first came out before it was sold out on Sephora and I tried so hard to like it because it's expensive lol, but to be quite honest I wasn't really impressed with it and don't understand the hype. Charlotte Tillbury is much better!

You are supposed to apply with your fingertips. It's in the instructions on the website. Mua's from nars also say to apply with fingertips.

The Yukon shade is different from the soft matte version. It’s much pinker. I had to go exchange mine yesterday because it was just too pink.

I don't have this nars foundation in fact I only own 1 and it's the sheer glow foundation I'm shade Vallarius and I appreciate that nars keeps the same names throughout their foundations unlike other brands that have different names for different types of foundations like Charlotte tilbury, she has great stuff I just get confused and then discouraged

I tried this foundation and I wasn’t a huge fan like everyone else. I loved the charlotte tilbury foundation. I have more mature dry skin. Not too much texture but I do have redness.

I used Dior several years ago and then stopped wearing foundation. I want foundation for dressier events, so I'm watching your channel for primers, tinted moisturizers, bb creams and foundation. Nars was on my list even though I'm not crazy about Nars products. Thanks for the thorough review.

I have dry skin with redness and some acne and had such high hopes for this. Unfortunately, my experience was similar to yours. It’s not bad, it’s just not great and I have other foundations that look better. This highlights any dry patches regardless of how well I prep my skin. I have tried all the nars foundations and my favorite is the natural radiant longwear.

I felt the same way you did about this foundation Taylor. I thought it was just bc my skin was drier due to my tretinoin, but my Too Faced Matte looks SO much better even when my skin is drier. The Nars just didn’t sit well on my skin at all and I tried multiple things in attempt to make it work.. but nothing worked so I returned it. I’m 39, normal to dry skin.

Someone tried mixing the Nars light reflecting foundation with the Dior Forever. Dior Forever is matte and does not look great on my skin. So, once I try this mix, I will let you know. My skin is normal and I have mature skin (65 yo). Hope to find the right shade though 😀. Fun to watch your nomad videos and enjoying the process... take care xo

I haven’t tried this one but I do use the Nars sheer glow foundation with the new kvd apple concealer and it’s the best combo for me 🥲 it’s great for a natural everyday wear and awesome for my dry skin 🤙

Interesting that you said you felt the texture was super light going on but you found it looked heavier. I've been retrying some of my concealers that have been neglected because they didn't cover my dark circles or went claggy through day because of how much was needed to cover discolouration (chronic pain and vestibular migraine life, am I right!?!) but using them as foundation instead. They seem to stay on my face far better than many foundations and spread much further than you would think- it's like what you said but in reverse: went on thick but looks really natural and light as day goes on. In particular Jouer Flawless, Shape Tape, Revolution Conceal+Hydrate. (Oily nose, dry textured skin, on acetretin topical gel for acne)

At first the foundation was so pretty, but as the day would go on it would make my skin so dry and it was noticeable that I had foundation on. I am a junior high teacher, and while wearing this I actually had a student ask if I was wearing foundation!! That was the last time I wore the Nars foundation! My students are brutally honest!

I think you've done a video on eyebrows in the past. I always think about eyebrow tinting or microblading, but I am too afraid to have it done since everyone's experiences maybe slightly different. I'm not quite sure how it would look on me. I like Nars, but for me, it is a bit of a lighter/thinner foundation. I always love your thoughts on all the foundations you use. Thanks again for sharing your experience.

You can make anything look good. Yes, the Dior Forever matte looks stinking flawless - I think I need to buy that now. But you succeeded in making this Nars foundation look almost as good. I loved your eyes on that first day - I need to give those shades a try!! Like Wow-zers!!!

The background could be a possible inspiration for next setup. The nude/ one shoulder is so pretty. When I 1st saw how long video i got excited thought it was going to be a shadow and schmooze. Maybe if possible ould you do a foundation Friday with your mom comparing New releases comparing different skin or maybe your moms favorite. As always loving your videos

I have this and I really like it. It lasts all day on me. My skin is normal to dry. It's light reflecting so it's kind of supposed to have flashback.
