The problem is people who are asking for a more powerful Nintendo console are the people who already have gaming PCs or stuff like the PS5 in my opinion you don't buy Nintendo for a powerful video game console you buy Nintendo for the game franchises and that is the largest audience for Nintendo.

The N64 was the most powerful 5th gen console to exist in the mid-late 90s and it was also the first ever 64 bit console, the GameCube was the 2nd most powerful 6th console to exist in the early-mid 2000s, unfortunately Nintendo gave up competing with Sony and Microsoft with the Wii in terms of performance and graphics. I wanna see Super Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Super Smash Bros and other Nintendo exclusives in 4K with at least 30 FPS and with HDR.

It all depends on what Nintendo wants to do. It's not difficult to create a powerhouse handheld now. Other companies are already doing it so it would only show Nintendo falling behind the curve if they don't update the system specs to something more robust. You're only thinking of the Nintendo from the Wii era onward. There was a version of Nintendo that competed in power. It's fine if they decide to do that again.

It’s going to feature tons of dual-screen games from several previous Nintendo consoles and handhelds… but it isn’t gonna be a clamshell. It’s going to be the same basic form factor, with a T239, redesigned joycons, larger 3d vnand cartridges, and instead of getting its screen covered when docking, the handheld screen will be visible and usable, for map/item screen, asymmetric local multiplayer, etc The marketing of this will be several fold: Name: SWITCH 2 Gimmick: When docked, can utilize 2 SCREENS, simultaneously, via either an open face dock, or an AIR-DOCK (Roku type), where you can still have the handheld operating as a controller like the WiiU.
