The castle was an awesome place. Played video games , hit the batting cages and drove the Malibu Grand Prix. So many memories. I hope the stadium happens.

Yep, I’m old enough to remember Malibu Grand Prix. I visited the Redwood City location more but visited the Oakland site at least once if I remember.

Such a shame the Redwood City one closed down and got demolished for the lot to just sit there unused for years and years now

I hope the A's investment bank is watching and asking the A's:"why should we lend you money $ for a stadium that doesn't fit the land?? Better pick another location or ask for more acres.

Dam, 9 acres is just the ballfield alone it looks like. Theres no way a 33,000 ballpark in Las Vegas can fit on 9 acres. It would be so crammed and look like shit

Just seems like a waste to do such a small stadium, and modular, when the plan is to develop the Coli land. They should redevelop that section of the land for a permanent and much bigger stadium. Make it around 18k ish so you COULD have MLS 1 day. Just seems like a waste when you're about to go all in on that land soon anyways. Don't know the answer, but sounds like we need more than just AASEG developing over there. They got that almost same size of land diagonally across touching the water as well. Develop both large parcels of land... Where's a giant convention center? Rival what LA, LV and Orlando have... We could literally dwarf LA Live District by 8 times with that amount of land... Hotels, renovate the arena, commercial complexes, museum, new stadiums etc etc etc. Get multiple developers in on it...

Agreed. This looks like it's being done on the cheap. A stadium with food trucks isn't going to work.
