This sounds perfect for the way I use my 23 Colorado! Hope they work on that soon...

Yes and Yes! We are still awaiting inventory as most of these kits are still just going into production now, but we should have a kit in to at least test any time now.

Any word on spring rates for these? Curious what might work best on a 4R with +140lbs up front.
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 11 ай бұрын
These will have the same number of options for their other kits so there should be 590 and 660 pound per inch springs in varying lengths.

Will they be available for a defender 110 td5? 🤞🏼

They are focusing on modern strut suspension vehicles like Tacomas, Hilux, 4Runner, and Ranger now, and we have not heard of them extending fitment yet, however they already make their top of the line BP51 shocks and complete kits for the Defenders so I would not be surprised if MT64s are coming too.

Have a 23 ford f150 tremor ,i like the way it rides but want to upgrade just for leveling reasons, i dont want the bilstiens 5100s because i had them on my tundra and they were super stiff on road so i want something a little smoother on road and then i do off road on weekends,what would u recommend, i will be buying from your company
@ShockSurplus

We'd go with Eibach or Fox for a bit smoother response on-road. Eibach is more affordable, and will arguably last longer

Are they going to be front and rear shocks? How do they compare to the 6112? Thanks
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
Yup! They will be available for both the front and rear with the same big 64mm pistons. We have not gotten any in to test just yet, but that is definitely happening soon, and we think they will be very comparable to each other given their similarities. It might be the typical deal of the Bilsteins win in the handling department but the OME might be more comfortable, but we reserve any true judgment until we can do some real-world testing for ourselves. Where we think these will win big, though is really on those rear shocks. Bilstein usually pairs their 6112s with 5100 or 5160 rear shocks and often does not carry a 60mm piston smooth body alternative for their rear shocks, so that is definitely a plus in our book. We think these 60ish mm piston or 2.5ish inch body type shocks are right for many people too. The larger body and piston size allow the shocks to be way more supportive without having to use as restrictive or as stiff valving as the more common 2" body shocks, so you get the performance without sacrificing comfort. The problem is most 2.5"+ shocks are only available with external reservoirs, and most people will never drive their rigs hard enough to even get basic 2.0 shock warm, so you end up spending a lot of extra dough on performance you do not need. So at the very least they hit a sweet spot in the market that is lacking right now. Whether we like the Billies more or not, we are confident these will get a fairly high spot on the "Goldie Locks List" of just right shocks for the average driver.

Will these be good on a Chevy 3500HD in on and off road conditions. And pulling 14,000 pound trailer?
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
They aren't available for that vehicle, but we'd suggest the Fox 2.0 for those conditions and use. There are also icon and fox 2.5s that will work well, but more expensive
@Jc-bo1uu
@Jc-bo1uu Жыл бұрын
@@ShockSurplus will they also work good win towing? And the Fox 2.5 are out of stock. I’m a semi truck driver I love the smooth ride of a erase suspension and I wish my 2019 Chevy 3500 had that same ride. It is a smooth ride win I have a load on it, but is stiff as hell when I’m empty. And I’m also looking for a shock that will last too.
@ShockSurplus
@ShockSurplus 11 ай бұрын
Unfortunately you probably will not be able to have it all in one shock, but a Fox 2.0 CD adjustable shock would likely do the trick, they wqill just need service every 30-50k miles. We charge $100 a shock for rebuilds so if you did go that route, we could also take care of those services for you so they last forever.
