Funny story about Babe Ruth Leaf cards you mentioned - my mom bought me some for Christmas when they rolled out because she knew I was back into collecting. I didn't have the heart to tell her they were a trash set, so I opened them while she watched. Ended up pulling a jersey card in one box and a Yankee Stadium seat card in the other.

I've always thought that there were things that they could do to make those sets actually very desirable. If you had one or two cut autos throughout the entirety of the set everybody would be loving to snap those up. Just for the chance

I got five of these when they first came out. One of mine had a 2018 Optic pack, and I pulled a Rafael Devers Rated Rookie pink parallel out of it, which was pretty nice. I also pulled a Michael Conforto SP out of one of my 2019 S1 packs as well (each box had one 2019 S1 pack in it). I've seen people pull 2011 & 2013 Chrome out of these. I've also seen people pull parallels from the toploaded cards that are included (I've seen one guy pull an Acuna /10 from Topps x Aoki as his card). EDIT: The Eric Thames at 25:34 is a short print.

I opened up one of these it had two packs and I got a 2019 Donruss Bonus pack, a 2022 Topps series 1 blaster pack and a Jacob Lindgren red white and blue prizm draft picks in a mag

Bought one of these boxes off eBay and it came with a 2018 Topps gallery pack. Pulled a acuna jr /25 out of it I was pumped about that.

I have a Arenado Emerald foil rookie from 2013 that I pulled back in 2013 and just sat on it. Now he’s on my favorite team so it all worked out!

I found one laying on a shelf at Walgreens, and it had the 2019 packs as well as a 2011 Series One pack. The 2011 pack had nothing of note in it, and I think the best card I pulled from the packs was a Jeff McNeil rookie. The bonus card was a Kershaw Ben Baller card.

I opened a box of these the other day, it was 2 packs of Topps 2019 and one pack of 2020 with a Ricky Henderson single common garbage. Was hoping to pull a few good rookies. (I collect Rookie cards) but didnt get nothing at all really. Few rookie cards. I think like seriously like 4, that was it.

My boxes of these sucked. Every box had 2 packs of 2012 triple play. And my packs were in terrible condition. It’s like they were sorted through. Best card i got was a Mike Trout rookie reprint iconic cards

The ones, Walgreens has now are only 2 packs per mystery box for $10 each. Those look like the Mystery boxes from 2020... Considering all the 2019 packs you got I'm pretty sure those are the 2020 Mystery Packs. The new ones have only 2 packs and one is a 2022 Topps pack (rather than the 2019...)

Nah get ahold of Topps they will help you out with something of equal value or if they have any of those left they send them out. They have a program for the redemptions that are no good anymore

Usually what you get in these Walgreen mystery boxes is nothing but junk. I am sure some have pulled some good things from them but most of the packs I have gotten were things that even back in the day would be considered trash packs and no value. I believe its pretty rare to get good packs.

Went to a Walmart outside of Cooperstown NY they would only let me but one box of bowman platinum their policy was one box of cards could not mix and match or even buy different types of cards. They guy was cool and handed my girlfriend the second box of chrome so I could get two.

People were selling those RC inserts as real ones and people were buying them. Remember the trout one of one insert that everyone was pulling and they were selling over $400 when in reality it was a $2 card. So many people got burned by it.

From my count you had 5 piles of 4 boxes at $10 a box (in FL.) That’s $200. The value of every card combined was probably $3.69. Fun to open. If you’ve got money and don’t care about buying trash. Better luck with $200 in scratch off lottery tickets. My son and I have bought them with letdowns in every box.

I hate it when people compare mystery boxes to the value of the cards that came out of the packs. If you want to make a fair comparison you should use the price of the mystery box and compare it to the original retail price of the packs that you're opening.

@@MessOfThings I’m sorry you hate that. But people collect for two very distinct reasons apparently. One, to find cards of value that sell for a substantial profit either immediately or fifty years later, and two, to have fun opening expensive packs full of worthless common base cards of nobodies. It seems to me that Mr. Jabs gets excited when he finds cards that are rare and valuable (in every video he does), so he would fall under the former category of collectors. If you want to open a bunch of ‘90 score wax packs for a fortune just to open cards, let me know! I’m happy to sell them to you for way more than they’re worth and we’ll both be happy!
