one of my favs of all the time, remember watching mtv and I watched the world premiere back in 2001 and got trolled since I remembered a band from 80s hahaha called new order and the band was young, then I knew they were fiction and te he song was from the real NO, and the real Killers got the name from the fiction band, a beautiful and powerful song

I find it completely astounding how new order are not more celebrated as the best UK band ever. Truly magical, love all the individual components of the band and the story. That new order bass has always struck something g in me since I was a kid. Beautiful. 💚💚💚

I'd agree about being more celebrated. But as far as THE best UK band? Pink Floyd or the Smiths I think would hold that title. Probably Pink Floyd.....

@@bramkuijer sorry mate, personally I think pink floyd are atrocious, like absolute guff, sorry again. The Smiths are magic I would agree though n I think Johnny Marr is an absolute legend, love the guy. But New Order are a bigger band worldwide and the mystique and story is unrivalled imo. The whole joy division, factory records, hacienda, losing money on every record sold of blue Monday adds to the magic. They are a story, an ideal, something we would all love to be involved in if we were a band.

@@micasaveiro you for real? Peter Hook is standing on the right in the black shirt Mr Magoo. It's past and present. One is a new order gig at t in the park, the other is a killers gig where Bernard came on. Totally agree they have lost something when Peter left the band.

True class! Very clever video by whichever TV corporation filmed this. I'm suffering chronic fatigue because of stupendously Self Medicating for nearly four years but when at night when TRYING to relax I always play this song. It should have been released into the UK Top 40. I always listen to both Bernard Summer and the Killers, this arrangement is so spot on - what an underrated song. Like one of your other pundits I want Crystal played @ my funeral. Viva Brandon flowers and New Order ❤

The reason why this is cool that in the original version of this song paired with the music video the band in the video is actually a fake band called "The Killers" which now is a real band.

Damn, it's good to see Hooky doing his thing. Bernie's doing an amazing job too. I always felt a subconscious connection between NO and the Killers, this justifies it.
