I was at this gig and heard blue Monday before I had it on vinyl. Years later I had the pleasure of working with Tony Wilson on in the city in manchester, on one occasion over lunch I asked him to sign my copy of, needless to say after much Anglo-Saxon he refused , I still have a mint unplayed original copy

I always feel let down by the live Blue Monday, always think it sounds a bit tinny and weak. But occasionally, it sounds a bit more 'butch'. Like here. I cannot tell you of how hearing these gigs puts a brilliant spin on my week. Thank you.

I like how here we are hearing a "young" Blue Monday...it does sound a bit clunky at times, but that must be what makes it absolutely gorgeous.

I always find live iterations of Blue Monday, especially old ones. New Order was never able to replicate the sound from the album, but hearing their attempts is always so fun, mostly when they mess up. You'll never know what you get with Blue Monday and when the synths are all out of tune, Barney changes lyrics on the whim and there's some improv, you know you found a great one
