Kudos to Jeff Duncan for remembering how the national media dismissed the Saints in the buildup to the 2009 season, and pointing out it can work in our favor. They looked at the previous season’s record and ignored the fact that something like five of the Saints losses were by three points or less. Saints fans knew the Saints were better and we were right. But here’s what you have to remember about the national media: they follow the Cowboys and Green Bay, and that’s it. Add New England (since the early 2000s) and, for the past decade, Kansas City. That’s it. Everyone else is rated according to reputation and last season’s record. As for how the Saints will do this season, I really don’t know. I’m hoping for the best, while preparing for the worst.

New Orleans has no faith in Derek Carr. He was the only reason the Raiders were relevant at all. He added two wins to the Saints last year. He will add at least one more this year. No way the Saints don’t win 10 games

Most are not recognizing two major off season adds on the Defensive side. That being Gay at LB and Chase Young at DE. Yes, kinda under the radar moves be I think very smart moves. They were already a top ten defense. Yes they will be better...top 5 ish is what I am thinking. Offensive side of the ball they were pretty good with bad play calling. Bring in a new thought process, a new play caller and an over all decent offense gets way better. Plus I am gunna say it...CARR IS UNDERRATED. Nuff said. Sorry if you hate the truth.

Got to be smoking something to think Cousins will be a 4 game boost. Probably one or two game improvement from Atlanta

Carr has only played on terrible teams. Including the Saints. Mahomes gave two 6 picks to the Raiders.

Why isn't this channel more popular? I watch or have watched all the saints channels and this one has the most credible and likeable host or group of all. It's not even close. And some of the other ones are actually just click bait supposing ridiculous roster transactions, etc.. Also, I think hating Derek Carr has become fashionable and not realistic. I hear you, Jeff, about the pick-six excuse, but maybe Derek was so defensive because of players like Michael Thomas being one of the worst teammates I can remember on a Saints roster. Seriously you could see Michael Thomas' crappy character beginning to show clear back when he opened his mouth negatively against Drew over the kneeling stuff. I think that right there began to deteriorate the team. I think that made it easier for Drew and payton to retire. Payton basically retired just to take a little break and distance himself from the Saints, but wow, I've unintentionally said a lot. I still love the team even in these politically charged times, I just don't always love the players.

"IT CAN HAPPEN", but not as long as Carr aka Bo Callahan is still QB1. Just ain't happening.

Carr was number 12 rated quarterback last year. Sounds stupid
