The new PING AFS Iron Fitting Adapter allows 2nd Swing club fitters to quickly and easily dial in a new lie angle for golfers to test in the fitting bays with a couple of simple twists and clicks. Dialing in the proper iron lie angle is a crucial component to any iron fitting conducted at 2nd Swing.
In this video, 2nd Swing's Drew Mahowald is joined by 2nd Swing master club fitter Jake Montgomery to showcase the PING AFS Iron Fitting Adapter and use it to test a couple different iron lie angles on the driving range at Les Bolstad Golf Course.

An amazing tool! When I got fitted at a Dick’s they really couldn’t do much for me as a lefty! I won’t buy a new club unless a place can fit me like I see on videos like this!

do lie angles change for longer irons or is the lie angle the same on the 7 iron as the longer irons like a 4 or 3 iron

The lie angles do change throughout your set of clubs. Your longer clubs require a flatter lie angle, and vise versa for shorter clubs. Iron sets are designed with progressive lie angles to account for this

What color code was on that 7 iron head? At my club the ping demo iron said it was RED and then had the flat lie dot colors. Does the head with blue green and white dots come on a black labeled head?

There are 2 different fitting heads, one that has the upright lie angles, and one that has the flat lie angles.

@@andrewcs29 ok thanks but the head at my club's pro shop also had a label saying it was a red head. I assumed it was a black (aka Ping standard) head with different lie angle settings until I saw the word "Red" in black lettering on the head. Is there more than one fitting head with the flat lie angles ? Like a black head and a red head?
