I purchased a M9A3, 2 months ago and it is just amazingly fantastic!! I purchased 4 more mages for range and drills. I paid $974.00 out the door. I owned a 92fs 30 years ago as well and this new pistol is substantial more refined! Thank you for the video.

Just purchased one the other day, it will be my first Beretta and being a Canadian I paid a bit more compared to my American cousins, but still got it cheaper than most gun stores here in Canada. The average price in Canada is $1500 and then taxes on top, I paid $1450 CDN tax and shipping included (purchased out of Province). Can't wait to have it in my hands and at the range!

So you mean to tell me that the US Military is spending millions on a new weapon system in the P320 and we could have just upgraded to the M9A3. I’m sure Beretta would have offered a massive discount over the competition and with little to no compromise. This weapon seems to have everything the military wanted with the interchangeable back straps and the 1913 rail and the changeable drift in sights along with a threaded barrel. I just feel like this weapon has been upgraded to pretty much have all the features you could ever really want and probably would have saved the military untold millions in terms of upgrading their service pistol. Not to mention the fact that I have a 92fs surplus and given its accuracy I would be very surprised if any of its competitors in the MHS trials could pound for pound outshoot the new M9A3.

They tried, but no way could this a3 match the price of the 320. Ammo and support were part of it too & this gun as great as it is- aint modular. Thats the M part of MHS. Also the ease of repair & maintenance cost is hugely in favor of sig. The only benefit of the beretta would be holster fit and familiarity, as the mags, parts, etc were likely pretty well used up as are alot of the guns themselves. I dont mind the sig buy myself- long run theyll be cheap and easy to keep em going

What an awsome machine! The military screwed up again, they lost the competion with the 320. Our gain though, we won. And please, don't insult Beretta by compairing the M9 to any Glock. The M9A3 is NOT an entry level handgun.

@@Mr_Moon42 DA/SA are harder to learn, strikers are just consistent. Once you get the hang of DA/SA, you will be capable of great accuracy. Not that you can't do that with a striker though.

I just bought an M9A3, (black, type G) and I absolutely love it. This is my third Beretta, as I used to have an M9 Inox compact and still own a 92A1. So I'm fairly knowledgable about the 92 series, so for you to make that asininely subjective comment, 'don't insult Beretta by compairing the M9 to any Glock' is not only infantile and petty, but just downright inaccurate. Why, exactly? Why would that be an insult? Are Glocks unreliable and inaccurate? Nope. Are the inherently dangerous to the user? Nope. Are they not combat proven and not trustworthy weapons? Nope. So please, do explain your assessment.

@@231mac People get it backwards. Compairing a Beretta to a Glock is laughable. One is a plastic pistol made by a curtain rod manufactures, who's been in business for not quite 40 years. The other a real gun made by a manufacturer who only makes guns and has been doing so for over 500 years. It should be Glock trying to compair itself to a Beretta, which is still laughable. Glocks are good guns, but will never be anywhere close to a Beretta. A gun made out of curtain rods? Don't even try to put that and "Beretta" in the same sentence. Hope that explains my opinion on the issue. Good luck with your next hunt.

I checked this out at my gun shop they had one on display. I held it first time I put it in my hands I was like this is the Beretta I want. Just going to save some money and I'm getting this one. I have two other hand guns m&p9c and glock 19 but the Beretta feels better in the hands then the both of them.

I believe these come with the D spring which reduces the DA pull from the standard spring.

Yep! 12lbs DA and 8lbs SA to start. Once broken in, 10lbs DA and 6lbs SA. My M9A3 is now broken in and it’s buttery smooth, much better than my M9 Classic.

Bought a M9 standard a week ago, my first gun. Second will be a Glock 19, mainly will be my CCW weapon. Open carry will be the M9. Already got a Safariland leg hoister and a Cytek 2 round clip on mag holder. My third gun will be this one, the M9A3. Was thinking of an AR-15 but will be putting that off for this. The more I see it. The more I want it now. Now, it’s just to see if my local gun shop does special orders….

Yup. I used to take these apart and clean them almost daily (well, the regular M9 version) and you would always have to be careful of that. We even had the heavier metal guide rods and it was still an issue. Still better than on the 1911s though.

The military generally wants striker fired pistols without an exposed hammer, they also want every trigger pull to feel exactly the same. The Beretta M9A3 is more of an experts choice for people who know their firearms, but it takes a little bit longer to train someone to be 100% proficient with it. Military wants everything stupid simple so anyone can be trained to their fullest potential.

shingnosis but the trigger pull on the 320 isn't consistent. Sometimes it takes a 5lb pull, other times it takes a 5 ft drop.

you forgot to mention than the safety when in the fire position is now angled upwards like the px4, so it doesn't accidentally goes into safety when racking the slide serration are angled too beautiful gun... hope it will come out in inox finish

With the right holster you can appendix carry it. I do, no issues at all, I can bend, sit, squat and jump all over the place. I'm a bit less than 6.1

Grant Garlock Look, it's very simple: go to the Beretta website, it's the one made for the 92, the IWB with one clip, not the one with two clips, too bulky and it points your gun to the right so that it sits on your right thigh and it's uncomfortable, you can't bend. The one with one clip you can clip it right next to your jeans button so that the gun sits right in the middle between your groin and your thigh. It works wonders for me but it's very subjective.

I know that feeling. I have the early Beretta 92 FS Stainless Inox "Gray Ghost" and a new production 92A1 with the threaded barrel. Both of which I installed the MCARBO spring kit in. Best $30 I have ever spent. DA is 7lb, SA is 3.5 lbs. Polish up the Hammer and Sear with Flitz and it smooths it right out.

It wasn't submitted for testing. It was presented to the military before testing took place in hopes that the military would go with it instead of starting the testing.

Desert Guardian good video. Sorry to be picky. Lots of misinformation about the program, testing and problems with pistol they chose. Too bad the army did not choose this pistol. It met 86% of the requirements and would of saved taxpayers hundreds of million dollars.

Beretta did however submit the APX pistol for testing. I recently picked one up (in all FDE of course) and I must say I believe even the APX is superior to the Sig P320.

The 96 can be converted to.357 sig by swapping the barrel out, every thing else is comparable.

M9A3 FDE frames are produced in Italy. I’m sure the rest of the firearm is assembled with American parts in the US. But, that’s only my assessment.

You are correct. Pistol is assembled in the US. Funny thing is, when they started production in the US they had QC issues. I'm not a big fan of the US assembly models. I will just stay with the Italian ones.

These are the finest of their type.although I looked a three of them locally and the fit and Finnish was terrible,these three were all made in the new Tennessee.i drove to the cabelas that was the next town over to look at theirs. The display was Italian and flawless,the brought one from around back,it was American and looked as bad as the others.i left with the Italian. The best part was it just happened to be on sale for 849$!!!

I bought mines used and I can tell the previous owner holstered it and mounted a light on it. There are minor wear marks on the front corners of the slide and a little marring on the rails. Other than that, it's in almost new condition.

It will be hot as well as dirty, the conventional method of cooling off and cleaning a firearm is to drag it behind your boat till it's clean and cooled off.
