I ordered the Evolve 7x9 18 month Horizontal LifePlanner with the gold coil. I had an issue trying to add the Sunrise coil so I just went with the Gold one. I also got the Evolve washi tape and the Evolve mini Snap In Bookmarks. I love your hair. Giving me Mermaid 🧜🏾♀️🧜🏾♀️vibes!!! ❤❤❤

I absolutely love your hair!!!! I think you made some good points, might be the other video, about changing up the colorful tab colors. It's partly why I'm really considering Bold Blooms. I love Evolve but it may feel too similar to Inspire which I have now. Loved how thorough you were with the walk through the planner. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I am really enjoying the wild new look ha ha. Oh yes, I could see where you would want to change it up since you have Inspire. I feel like Bold Blooms is just such a pretty combo all around. I wouldn't have thought I would love it as much as I do because it's a big shift from the soft pastel florals the past few years. Good luck coming to your final decision! Let me know what you end up with.

@@SamisSweetLife Me again.... I also totally agree with you about the vellum. Bold Blooms should for sure have its own decorative vellum and pocket for that matter. It feels like they got lazy part way through and just tossed in the vellum from canvas. Even the fact that there is only 6 designs versus 12/18 in. Evolve. Just my opinion. 😊

Also, it’s not fair to make people pay for stickers to get that calendar. I think it’s a nice compromise that they kept it on the weekly planner. I wouldn’t mind in the daily if they put it on the weekly as well.

Well I've made my decision after much hemming and hawing, a pro/con list 😄 My next planner will be a compact vertical, 7x9, in Bold Blooms with a sunrise coil. I won't be ordering right away but I'm happy I made my decision and am really excited about it. Phew...that was tough.

Honestly, as a frequent user of the mini-calendar in vertical weekly spreads--I just used mine this morning to time when to mail a birthday card--I wish the planning community would agree to put function above aesthetics when it comes to features. There are features that I don't use, but I wouldn't try to have them removed, especially when I know others do get use from them. I agree about the fineliners--I hope to see those later in the year. Thanks for the very useful walk-through!

I appreciate your differing viewpoint! Genuine question and not trying to sound snarky at all... if it wasn't on the weekly page, do you think you could get used to turning to the monthly spread or the year at a glance spread in the beginning of the planner? I feel like it would take a little adjusting time but it would end up working for most people. I totally understand needing to see more than just a week at a time, but I generally just go to that year at a glance. I just don't need that monthly view frequently enough to warrant it on every single page.

I agree about function over aesthetics, but I hate that monthly calendar on the notes section of the weekly compact vertical. It creates an awkward space that is unusable and makes the notes section so much smaller, therefore less functional.

@hollymalanga6225 I think that's my main hangup. I can cover up the ones on the vertical weeklies and horizontal weeklies with stickers and it doesn't really bother me. But on the daily and compact vertical it took/takes up valuable real estate and looks off kilter. Even when covering with a sticker, it looks silly because it's just a random sticker on the page.

@@SamisSweetLife I can see with the dailies how it could be considered overkill, but on a weekly layout, it's really handy (at least for me). I'm not one for convenience usually--got my first dishwasher when I was 60--but I spent 30+ years in Filofax and Planner Pads before I branched out, and they have always had the mini on weekly layouts. I use it regularly, and appreciate not being distracted by flipping sections. Not having a mini might be a much more recent thing, and this may well be a generational difference. I know Cloth & Paper lightened the type of their mini-calendar two years ago and had such an outcry that this past year, we had the darker, easier-to-read type back. I'm far more a functional than a decorative planner, so I wouldn't want to lose the mini. Again, I work in a 7 x 9, and a weekly layout, so it hasn't been a space problem. Looking forward to getting that "chunky monkey" in my hands soon :)

I had a blonde appt about a week before doing the colors and then the color was applied to ALL the hair. There was still def some brown hair left in there but the blonde totally helped make the color work. This was filmed before the color was added: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z8yWppxpxNfFcpc.html

Yes I totally get it. It's so bad for your hair!! My hair is totally fried, but I just keep using lots of conditioning/hydrating products and hoping for the best lol. I might do another round or two of blonde after this but I am thinking of going back to brown by winter. I really love how she did the blonde this last time before the purple so I am going to try it again.

@@SamisSweetLife I agree...the blonde looks really nice on you. I finally got a perm after years of being straight. I'm so happy to have curls again. 😁 Do what you like and keep hydrating. 👍 LOL! My hair is still hanging onto this dark purple I put in this past winter. The perm lightened it a bit but I'm sure it'd take a lot of bleach to go light enough for a vibrant color. I'll let you know if I ever decide to. 🤷♀️

Oh that's awesome!! I have tried perms before but they never do well in my hair. I think mine is too coarse. I find that purple has lasted the longest for me so that's not surprising you have some lingering purple 🤣🤣

So the Jan 2025 to December 2025 option won’t be a calendar option on launch day? That’s disappointing!!

oh, no I think that Jan-Dec option will be available, but they just have a separate smaller launch in the fall with new things like the softbounds, petite planners, and potentially other options like focused options. They always seem to sneak in some surprises for the fall calendar year launch. I am just not sure what things I am ordering yet and what things I am going to hold off on for calendar year options. I usually like to start my planners in Jan.

I just wanted to confirm that yes all the new release lifeplanners have a Jan 2025 option already as a choice. The academic planners just have July or Aug start dates.

I think you are def with the majority on that opinion. It's funny though. I looked back at some of my very very old EC videos and they DID NOT have the mini calendars on the weeklies way back in the day.
